The first College Football Playoff rankings are out, and BYU ranked lower than the AP voters did. On this episode of the Cougar Tracks Podcast, KSL Sports BYU Insider Mitch Harper reacts to BYU's No. 9 spot in the committee's first rankings and explains what it means for the Cougars' path to the playoff. He also breaks down the biggest news of rivalry week: LJ Martin is back on the practice field.

Mitch also caught up with BYU Passing Game Coordinator Fesi Sitake to discuss his history with the rivalry growing up and his expectations for this Saturday morning.

Then, finally, Mitch spoke with BYU great Will Ferrin. The former BYU star kicker, two years ago at Rice-Eccles Stadium, delivered one of the great moments in rivalry history, making a 44-yard game-winning field goal to give BYU a 22-21 victory.

Will shared his memories from that game, his thoughts on this year's team, and his pro aspirations.
