A proposito di questo titolo

What if the films, shows, and stories that actually reflect your life — your values, your questions, your inner world, your future — were easier to find?

Convos is a guided expedition into the conscious media landscape: a growing world of content built to inform, uplift, and align with what viewers actually care about and the worlds they want to embody.

Host Kia Kiso-Brennan (award-winning entertainment producer and lifelong lover of story) covers the full range. Some episodes are solo: Kia speaking directly on topics, trends, and what she's discovering along the way. Others are conversations: with fans sharing how they find content that reflects their values and what it means to them, filmmakers and creators sharing how and why they make it, and experts helping explain why it matters.

Episode by episode, we're drawing a map. And together, envisioning what this landscape could become. Whether you're a filmmaker, a creator, or someone who's always felt the absence of stories made for you... this is that conversation.

  • Deb Drummond: The Ultrapreneur Who Takes Orders From Her Intuition
    Nov 1 2026

"Watch the damn movie!" is what the voice in Deb Drummond's head said when she kept ignoring Netflix's algorithm to watch a suggested movie. So she did. It was "Seeing Allred," about the life of Gloria Allred. And afterward Deb said to herself, "If she can do that, you can do more!" And that is when her 262 project, an anthology book and summit series lifting up women's voices, was born.

In this episode of Convos About Conscious Media with Kia, Deb shares how she decides whether to follow a nudge that doesn’t make sense on paper. She runs every number and checks with her CFO. Then she runs what she calls the “energy numbers”: how much energy is this going to take? And then she listens for the voice. You’ll hear how she tells a whim from what she calls her “knowingness.”

Deb is a pioneer in the world of entrepreneurship, and her list of firsts is impressively long. She's the Founder and CEO of Mission Accepted Media. She's built seven international companies. She was once number one in sales out of 220,000 people and helped take that company to $1 billion in its fourth year. She's been featured in Success magazine 48 times. She's a Stevie Award recipient for "Women in Business - Women Helping Women," she was named "Misbehaving Woman of the Year" (I love that one!) by She Financial. And she's hosted over 400 episodes of the "Mission Accepted" podcast in the last 12+ years. Of which, I was lucky enough to be one of her guests a few weeks ago.

She also shares her own media diet, including what she watches every night before bed. Especially why, after I was on her podcast, she no longer watches "CSI" at night.

"I think conscious media for me is media that makes you expand." -- Deb Drummond

What I love about Deb is that she doesn't keep one personality for business and another for the spiritual side. Her words: "When I put my suit jacket on, I don't have to become a different personality."

Topics: intuition in business · following non-negotiable nudges · the 262 project and women's voices · curating your media diet · comedy before bed · planning by energy, not time · media that gives you permission to trust yourself

  • Jamie Wozny: The Psychic Who Was Prescribed Netflix
    Oct 1 2026

"I'm going to prescribe you one thing. Go home and watch Netflix. You need to be more human and enjoy yourself."

That is what a psychic teacher said to Jamie Wozny. She had been deep in her spiritual practice for years and had gotten strict about it, to the point of cutting TV and movies out of her life entirely. Everyone in her world had told her those things were spiritually bad.

In Episode 4 of Convos About Conscious Media with Kia, Jamie names something I have not heard anyone say out loud: there is a lot of spiritual shaming around what people watch. But she does not think media is the enemy. She thinks it can be a healer.

Jamie is an intuitive healer, channel, modern-day priestess, and transformational coach, CEO of Divinely Human. She works with both people and animals. For many years her main focus was her acting career in Hollywood. Then she became mysteriously sick and no one could explain it. That led her into the wellness space, which became the foundation of her life's work. She has led retreats internationally, taught at The DEN Meditation, and collaborated with NBC, Hulu, Sony and Shonda Rhimes' Shondaland.

But after that Netflix prescription she is not interested in abstaining. She loves getting wrapped up in a show. It is just that she is deliberate about what she watches and listens to, and the way she decides is something you could try tonight too.

That led to us talking about the creative spark, when she said this... (Which I had to ask her to repeat.)

"I believe that the feeling of inspiration is a direct telephone line to the highest source of abundance, the highest source of love."

She shared many nuggets of wisdom any creator can use tomorrow, including a question she dares you to ask yourself before you make ANYTHING. An important reframe because she says those reverberations can be sensed in the finished product.

She is very funny and generous with everything she knows. You will see!

Topics: spiritual shaming around what we watch · curating a media diet without abstinence · the Clairs and how intuition speaks · compassion as a healing tool · creating from inspiration instead of fear · the feminine and masculine in creative work · conscious media as healing

  • Peter Farrelly: A Soul in a Guy Named Pete
    Aug 13 2026

"I'm not Pete Farrelly. I'm a soul in a guy named Pete Farrelly."

That's what the Oscar-winning writer/director/producer ("Green Book," "Dumb and Dumber," and "There's Something About Mary") said to me during this conversation. And it was far from the only moment that stopped me.

In Episode 3 of "Convos about Conscious Media with Kia," Pete Farrelly sat down and went somewhere he doesn't normally go publicly. We talked about the premiere night regarding disability advocacy that changed every movie he's made since. About checking the ending of every Dateline episode before he'll commit to listening. And about praying every day for almost 50 years and learning meditation from Jim Carrey.

This is a side of Hollywood you rarely hear. Pete told me at the end that I opened him up in ways he might cringe about later. He assured me he feels good about everything he shared. I think you'll understand why once you hear it.

Topics: the premiere night that changed everything · the Dateline test · 50 years of daily prayer · transcendental meditation · near-death experiences · disability inclusion in film · conscious filmmaking
