Bleach Thousand-Year Blood War – The Calamity hit US theaters June 25-29, and we couldn't wait to talk about it. In this episode of Comm Talk, we're giving you our honest, spoiler-free reaction to the first three episodes of the final season, then flipping the switch for a full spoiler-filled breakdown of what actually happens. If you're trying to decide whether to catch this before the July streaming release, or you've already seen it and need to talk through what just happened, this one's for you.

We cover Bleach's 2004 debut, why this final arc has been worth the wait since 2016, the massive animation upgrade in this season, and what Yhwach's endgame actually means for the Soul Society. Stick around to the end for some announcements about Geek'd Con, the 10th anniversary of Comm Talk, and a sneak peek at what's next for Geek Devotions.

What happens when God asks you to lay down the very thing you love the most? Whether it’s a career path, a hard-earned identity, or a relationship, true provision always meets us at the intersection of absolute surrender.

In this special episode of ComTalk, Dallas takes us behind the scenes of his pastoral life to share a raw, live message he recently delivered following an incredible week at youth camp. Diving deep into Genesis 22, Dallas dismantles the traditional Sunday-school assumptions surrounding Abraham and Isaac. By examining the visceral reality of a 37-year-old Isaac willingly carrying the means of his own demise, this message challenges us to look honestly at our lives: Are we building walls of isolation out of fear, or are we ready to experience the true meaning of Jehovah Jireh?

Whether you are a lifelong believer looking for a deeper theological shift, or someone wrestling with fear and the pressures of modern success, this episode will challenge you to step out from behind your walls and discover what God has already provided on the mountain.

Dallas and Celeste just got back from seeing Mortal Kombat 2, and they have thoughts. The sequel brings Johnny Cage into the fold, raises the stakes with the actual tournament, and delivers some genuinely great fights and character moments. But does it stick the landing? In the spoiler-free half, Dallas and Celeste break down the pacing problems, the characters who got shortchanged, and whether the film earns its R rating. Then after the break, gloves come off, full spoiler discussion on movie spoilers, Kitana's story arc (the one that should have been the whole movie), what the film gets right as a Mortal Kombat experience, and why it left Dallas wanting to fire up the games all over again.
