Episode 43: God Knew You Before You Were Born | Come, Follow Me Moms | Jeremiah 1–4; 6–7; 16–18; 20

Have you ever felt like God was asking you to do something you weren't qualified to do? Or wondered if your children are actually listening to anything you're teaching them? 😂

Mama, this week's Come, Follow Me lesson is for YOU!

We're diving into the book of Jeremiah, a prophet who was called by God before he was even born. Jeremiah was asked to preach repentance to people who didn't want to listen. He faced rejection, discouragement, and opposition, but the Lord reminded him that he was never alone.

And guess what? We can learn SO much from Jeremiah about motherhood!

In this episode, we're talking about:

    • God doesn't call the qualified. He qualifies those He calls. What Jeremiah's foreordination teaches us about our own divine purpose and the responsibilities God gives us.

    • Jeremiah and Lehi! How these two prophets lived during the same general time period and were called to warn the people of Jerusalem.

    • Planting seeds of faith. Just like a garden needs consistent care, our faith and our children's testimonies need nurturing, patience, and time.

    • You are never alone. God's promise to Jeremiah reminds us that He is with us, even during the loneliest seasons of motherhood.

    • Where are we finding our living water? Are we turning to Jesus Christ when we're exhausted and overwhelmed, or filling our time with things that leave us feeling empty?

    • Returning to God. Just as we want our children to come home and tell us everything about their day, our Heavenly Father wants us to come to Him with our worries, joys, struggles, and questions.

I also share how starting this podcast took years of finding the courage to say YES to something I didn't feel qualified to do, and how that decision has blessed my scripture study and my family.

    Scriptures discussed:

    • Jeremiah 1:5–10, 19 — Foreordination, trusting God's calling, and His promise to be with us

    • Jeremiah 2:13 — The fountain of living waters

    • Jeremiah 3:14–15 — Returning to the Lord and gathering to Zion

    • Jeremiah 4:1 — The invitation to return to God

    • 1 Nephi 1 — Lehi's calling and the connection to Jeremiah

    This week's invitation:

Take a moment to ask yourself: What is God asking me to do that I don't feel qualified for? And what can I remove from my life to make more room for Him?

Remember, mama, you don't have to have it all figured out. God knows you. He knows your children. And He will help you as you turn to Him.

You're doing better than you think, and you're never behind. ❤️

Thanks for being here and studying with me!

Maybe you need peace in your home, healing in your heart, patience with your children, or strength to keep going. Whatever it is, bring it to Him. This week, choose one intentional way to invite Jesus Christ into that part of your life. Through prayer, fasting, repentance, service, or simply remembering Him throughout your day. You don't have to make your life beautiful before coming to Jesus. Bring Him your ashes. Let Him make something beautiful. 🏡 Family Home Evening Idea: Beauty for Ashes Scripture: Isaiah 61:3 Supplies: Dark construction paper, colorful paper, scissors, glue, and crayons. Have each child write or draw something difficult or sad on a piece of dark paper. Then cut out colorful paper flowers and glue them over the dark paper. Explain that just as the flowers bring beauty to the page, Jesus Christ can bring healing, peace, and hope into our hardest moments. Talk about how His healing sometimes takes time, but we can always turn to Him. Ask your children: "What's one way Jesus Christ helps you feel loved?" 🌷 A Reminder for Every Mama You are not forgotten. You are not beyond His reach. And you are not a finished product. The same Savior who promises to make all things new is working in your heart and home today. He is still healing. Still rescuing. Still redeeming. And He's not finished with you yet. Oct 6 2026
Episode 41: He Hath Borne Our Griefs & Carried Our Sorrows | Isaiah 50–57 + General Conference

This week on Come, Follow Me Moms, we’re studying Isaiah and talking about some of my favorite messages from General Conference!

Isaiah teaches us something every overwhelmed, exhausted, worried mama needs to hear:

You were never meant to carry everything alone.

Isaiah prophesied of Jesus Christ as “a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief.” He didn't just come to save us from our sins—He came to bear our griefs and carry our sorrows. He understands the worry, loneliness, exhaustion, heartbreak, mom guilt, and seasons when life looks completely different than we thought it would. Pasted markdown

Sometimes we pray for God to take the hard thing away, but instead He says, “I'm going to walk through it with you.”

In this episode we talk about:

    • Isaiah 51: Remembering what God has already done when we're struggling to trust what He's doing now.
    • Isaiah 53: Jesus Christ understands our grief, sorrow, pain, and exhaustion. Sometimes the miracle isn't that He removes the hard thing—it's that He carries us while it's still hard.
    • Isaiah 54: Our circumstances constantly change, but His kindness doesn't.
    • Isaiah 55: God's beautiful invitation is simply, COME. Come tired. Come overwhelmed. Come imperfect. Come when your testimony is strong and come when you're struggling. Just come. Pasted markdown Pasted markdown

And after a beautiful General Conference weekend, we're connecting Isaiah's teachings with a few messages that stood out to me about deliverance, waiting on the Lord, finding our lift in Jesus Christ, trusting God when the rain falls, and loving people through their struggles. Pasted markdown

One message kept coming back to me:

    Waiting does not mean forgotten.

The gospel doesn't promise us that the rain won't fall. It teaches us where to stand when it does. And when we're sinking, Jesus Christ is our lift. Pasted markdown

    This week's invitation

    Ask yourself:

What am I carrying that Jesus Christ has already offered to help me carry?

Name it. Pray about it. Give some of that weight to Him.

    Because:

“Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows.” — Isaiah 53:4

Mama, you don't have to have everything figured out. Just keep coming to Christ. ❤️
