  • Reorient Your Life: Embracing the Gospel’s Call to Transformation
    Aug 17 2026

This week at Coffee Creek Church, the conversation focused on how our perceptions of God often get shaped by culture, history, and even myths—sometimes more than by the actual teachings of Jesus. One concept discussed was the powerful difference between seeing God as an angry judge vs. a loving Father, as told through the story of the prodigal son and Paul's definition of the gospel.

Here are 3 key takeaways for anyone leading, parenting, or simply trying to make sense of their purpose:

    • Your view of God shapes everything. If you see God as an angry, distant judge, it can lead to fear-driven living. But the gospel reveals God as a loving Father, eager to restore and celebrate us when we come home. This reorients how we see ourselves and others, especially during times of doubt and mistake.

    • The gospel is more than an "escape plan." A key theme that emerged was that the gospel isn’t just about what happens after we die—it’s an announcement that Jesus is King, and that changes the way we live, work, and relate now. Our purpose is to live out that kingdom in everyday life, not simply wait for heaven.

    • Clarity leads to impact. Misunderstandings of the gospel can lead to shallow faith or disengagement. Going back to the original sources—like Paul’s summary in 1 Corinthians 15—invites us to re-center on Jesus and build a more authentic, impactful faith-community.

  • The Power of Serving Others: Finding Community, Purpose, and Growth
    Aug 10 2026

This week’s Coffee Creek Church Podcast explored what happens when everyday people step up to serve others. The conversation focused on the unique gifts each of us brings and the life-changing impact when we choose to use those for our community. Serving isn’t about perfect qualifications—it’s about aligning our heart with action and answering the call right where we are.

    Key takeaways:

-Saying “yes” to serving can unlock new purpose and deeper relationships, both with others and with God.

-Every person has a unique gift—when we step up to use these, our collective impact multiplies and real transformation happens.

-Serving, even in small ways, counters feelings of purposelessness and lifts us out of discouragement, creating hope for the future.

What could change in your family, workplace, or community if you said “yes” today? If not you, who? If not now, when?
