  • Brexit? Are we In or Out
    Oct 9 2026

    Send us Fan Mail

Things get a little political on Cockney & Son this week…

With Britain and the EU back in the conversation, me and Dad get stuck into Brexit, whether the UK could ever rejoin the EU and, most importantly, whether either of us would vote differently if there was another referendum.

Then it’s time for What D’Ya Reckon? as Dad tries to guess the top three things people think they’re better at than they actually are from driving and multitasking to pretending you know what you’re talking about when someone hands you a glass of wine. 🍷

And, of course, we finish with the Bleedin’ Dad Jokes, including another listener submission… although this week our listener’s husband Ian has decided to muscle in on the action.

Plus, we end the episode with some lovely family news as we welcome little Pippa into the world. ❤️

Two generations. Plenty of opinions. And the usual Cockney & Son chaos.

  • Is AI coming for your job? 🤖
    Oct 2 2026

    Send us Fan Mail

This week, we’re having a proper natter about AI the jobs it’s already starting to change, what could disappear over the next 10 years, and whether there’ll eventually be a robot capable of replacing Dad. Although, to be fair, it might have an easy job…

Then it’s time for another What D’Ya Reckon?, as Dad tries to guess the top three things people immediately notice when they walk into someone else’s house. Smell? Cleanliness? Décor? And yes, he has opinions on all three.

And we finish, as always, with the Bleedin’ Dad Jokes including a listener joke sent in especially for Dad that apparently only someone of his generation would understand.

Two generations. Plenty of opinions. And absolutely no idea where the conversation will end up.

    Cockney & Son – Series 3, Episode 2.

We’re back! Cockney & Son returns for Series 3.

Lew and Steve are back behind the mics with two generations, plenty of opinions and absolutely no guarantee that everything they say is fact.

This week, they’re having a natter about Harry, Meghan and the changing Royal Family, including how attitudes towards the Royals have changed since Steve was growing up.

There’s also the small matter of Steve becoming an unexpected viral sensation thanks to a knee massage in the South of France…

Plus, it’s goodbye to a couple of old favourites and hello to brand-new section What D’Ya Reckon?, where Steve has to guess the top three things people do when they think nobody’s looking.

And, because apparently two series weren’t enough, Bleedin’ Dad Joke is back — now with jokes sent in by you.

Stick the kettle on. Series 3 starts here.

  • Life Skills, End-of-Term Chaos & Is Football Coming Home?
    Jul 5 2026

    Send us Fan Mail

    Cockney & Son – Series 2 Episode 18 |

This week on Cockney & Son, Lew and Steve tackle the everyday life skills they think every child should be learning before leaving school. From changing a fuse and sewing on a button to growing your own food and basic DIY, they ask whether schools are focusing on the wrong things.

The pair also have a proper moan about the madness of the final weeks of term. School shows, discos, trips, assemblies and endless events – are schools trying to cram too much into the last fortnight before the summer holidays, and what about parents who simply can’t get the time off work?

Then it’s over to Say It Like Steve as Dad gives his verdict on England’s World Cup hopes. Is football finally coming home, or should fans keep their expectations in check?

As always, the episode finishes with another round of the Bleeding Dad Jokes, where Lew and Steve go head-to-head with some truly terrible one-liners.

Grab a cuppa, settle in and join two generations putting the world to rights – one moan at a time.

  • The Great British Heatwave
    Jun 26 2026

    Send us Fan Mail

Britain is baking, tempers are rising, and everyone seems to have an opinion.

This week, Lew and his 69-year-old Cockney dad, Steve, tackle the UK’s 2026 heatwave. Was the legendary summer of 1976 really hotter? Should schools stay open when classrooms become ovens? And should there be a legal maximum temperature for workplaces?

They compare British summers to some of the hottest places on Earth, chat about why the UK always seems unprepared for extreme weather, and ask whether we’ve become more cautious than previous generations.

Plus, Steve shares his no-nonsense advice for surviving the heat, they discuss the importance of staying safe in soaring temperatures, and round things off by testing out Lew’s Father’s Day gift – a button packed with 120 terrible dad jokes.

A hot topic, plenty of laughs, and another classic generation gap.

  • Social Media Bans, Driving at 70 & The Secret to a Long Relationship
    Jun 19 2026

    Send us Fan Mail

Should social media be banned for under 16s?

This week Lew and Steve tackle one of the biggest debates currently making headlines across the UK as the Government considers following Australia and restricting social media access for younger teenagers. Is it about protecting childhood, or will kids simply find a way around it?

Then it’s over to Adam & Eve It, where Steve shares his thoughts on proposals that could require drivers over 70 to pass compulsory eye tests every three years. Is it sensible road safety or an unfair attack on older drivers?

Finally, in Say It Like Steve, the pair explore why younger generations are fascinated by couples who have stayed together for decades. Is there really a secret formula for a long and happy relationship, or have modern expectations changed the game completely?

Plus, there’s the usual moaning, questionable wisdom and a couple of Bleedin’ Dad Jokes to finish things off. One of them may even be funny.
