Last week we kicked off our “Who Said That?” recap, and this week we’re back with Part 2 — more wild clips, iconic one-liners, and a few moments that reminded us why CockTales is funny and deep when it wants to be.

This episode is a continuation of last week’s trip down memory lane, pulling standout moments from different years of the show. Some clips had us crying laughing, some had us side-eyeing ourselves, and others took a surprisingly thoughtful turn — because if we’re gonna reflect, we might as well do it honestly.

We talk fashion eras (yes, the Martha Stewart linen phase still stands), dating boundaries, bad decisions we didn’t make, and the difference between being open-minded and being open to everything (spoiler: not the same).

We also get into why “sex is a skill,” why everybody with a microphone is not a licensed expert, and why sometimes the real growth is knowing when to stop, sit still, and get yourself together. As always, there’s plenty of foolishness, a little ministry, and a lot of “did she really say that?” energy. If you haven’t listened to Part 1, go run that back first — then come join us here. 🍹

Cocktail of the Episode French 75… But Make It Therapy

    You’ll need:
    • Sparkling wine
    • Vanilla vodka
    • Simple syrup
    • Bailey’s (or RumChata) foam
    • Lemon twist
    How to make it:
Shake Bailey’s with a small splash of simple syrup until frothy. Pour vanilla vodka into a flute, top with sparkling wine, gently spoon the foam on top, and garnish with a lemon twist. Do not rush the foam unless you want chaos in a glass. 🗣 Topics We Get Into:
    • Recapping iconic CockTales quotes and moments from past years
    • The Martha Stewart / Ina Garten aesthetic debate (still unresolved)
    • Dating boundaries, self-control, and learning when to say no
    • Why being open-minded doesn’t mean being open to everything
    • The difference between licensed professionals and internet “experts”
    • Taking breaks from dating without guilt
    • Why sex, intimacy, and communication are skills you can actually learn
    • Free and low-cost resources people sleep on (libraries, schools, clinics, and more)
    • Growth, reflection, and recognizing patterns in yourself

  • "WHO SAID THAT" 2025 YEAR IN REVIEW
    Jan 8 2026
It’s time to look back… and immediately ask ourselves, “Wait—who said that?!”
In Part 1 of this two-part recap episode, Kiki and Medinah revisit some of the wildest, funniest, most unhinged moments from 2025 (with a few older classics sprinkled in), reacting to past clips in real time and reliving everything from comedian guests and dating rants to weird sex stories, hair debates, pop culture takes, and those signature CockTales side quests that somehow always lead back to food.

This episode is pure commentary chaos:
    – Comedians we loved (and clips that still hold up… mostly)
    – Dating opinions that aged interestingly
    – Hair, weaves, man-weaves, and why honesty matters
    – Weird sex facts that somehow turn into social commentary
    – Pop culture deep dives (yes, including Game of Thrones)
    – Rants that start one place and end somewhere completely different

Think of this as a highlight reel with commentary, context, and a little “wow… we really said that” energy. And don’t worry — this is just Part 1. There’s plenty more where this came from.
🎧 Listen, laugh, argue with us in your head, and let us know in the comments which clips took you OUT.

🍸 Today’s Cocktail: The Velvet Revolution

Smooth, cozy, and perfect for a recap episode.
    Ingredients
    1.5 oz Baileys
1 oz vanilla vodka or dark rum
1 oz cold brew coffee or espresso (optional, but highly encouraged)
    Ice
    Nutmeg or cinnamon (for garnish)

    How to Make It
Add Baileys, vodka or rum, and cold brew to a shaker filled with ice.
Shake well until chilled and silky.
Strain into a coupe or rocks glass.
Sprinkle nutmeg or cinnamon on top and enjoy.

Cheers to closing out 2025 and easing into 2026 — raspy voices, hot takes, and all. 🥂

  • Ep. 473 When Honesty Gets Uncomfortable with Kiara "Kiki Said So" Walker and Medinah Monroe
    Dec 27 2025
In this episode, Kiki and Medinah get into one of the hardest parts of adulthood: how to say uncomfortable things with love, tact, and intention. What starts as a casual conversation quickly turns into a deeper discussion about honesty, boundaries, emotional awareness, and why so many people avoid hard conversations altogether.

From awkward truths like bad breath and body odor to deeper emotional feedback that can strain friendships and relationships, the ladies unpack why delivery matters just as much as truth. They talk about when honesty is helpful versus harmful, how personal experiences shape our ability to receive feedback, and why avoidance often feels easier than vulnerability.

The episode also explores relationship expectations, emotional maturity, and a listener write-in that sparks a real conversation about compatibility, communication, and knowing when something just isn’t aligned. Along the way, Kiki reflects on personal growth, past embarrassment, family dynamics, and learning how to pause before reacting, especially when emotions are high.

This is a funny, honest, and thought-provoking episode about growth, self-awareness, and learning how to communicate without tearing people down — or disappearing when things get uncomfortable.

If you’ve ever struggled with telling the truth, hearing the truth, or figuring out how to say the hard thing without hurting someone, this episode is for you.
