• WHAT DO WE DO? Roe v Wade, the great resignation, and the WTF of it all
    Sep 1 2022

The past few years have done nothing if not make us feel disempowered. We have lost our rights, our sense of security, and our choices. Samantha Karlin, feminine leadership guru and general legal badass, knows how to facilitate change and that’s exactly what she is doing. This is a lively conversation about the constructs of our political system, the patriarchal norms, and moving into action. Remember, feminism isn’t about empowering women only - it’s about creating equity across the board.

Samantha Karlin is the CEO of Empower Global, which facilitates training on DEI and gender issues for Fortune 500 companies.

Empower also runs a groundbreaking women’s leadership challenge for small groups of women leaders from around the world. Some of Empower’s clients include Slalom, Hiscox, Verizon, Amazon, Insight Partners, and beyond.

She speaks and does training all over the world, including at Harvard University, Tufts University, IE University, and Indian Institute for Management, and is a TEDx speaker. She is also the host of Samanthropolitics, a cutting-edge talk show about global politics and women’s rights, where she interviews DC heavyweights about foreign policy.

Previously, Samantha led global engagement for a Silicon Valley tech company, led Ash-o-ka’s programming with women social entrepreneurs, built coalitions for the Hillary for America campaign, and managed the women’s issues portfolio for the US Embassy in Sarajevo, BiH. • Freedom on the other side of fear
    Jul 7 2022

Trauma can sit with us undealt with for years and years, lying dormant but still causing us tension in our daily lives. This trauma and tension has only built up in recent years with society going through the collective trauma of dealing with the pandemic and the constant news stream of mass shootings.

We are joined by the author of “A Pathway to Insight: Recapture your childhood buzz”, Ann Hince this week to discuss this issue of trauma & tension and to find a path forward. When Ann was 19, she woke one morning to find her mother dead in her bathroom. Twenty years later the tears from that trauma were still just under the surface. But, Ann found a simple technique that helped her release these emotions and she went further and can now put her awareness inside her body and has changed the bone structure of her skull and grown ½ an inch taller at age 55. Ann has found that seeking out our truth, what we truly feel, and accepting those feelings, is the key to inner peace.

It is time to find freedom from trauma and tension and for us to no longer allow it to weigh us down. Get ready to break free from the darkness and learn about the emotional freedom technique. Additional topics include the law of attraction, how we can raise our children to deal with and work through trauma, and creating space for ourselves.

  • Let go of normal: Why it’s not coming back
    Jun 23 2022

So many of us have been there. Stepping away from the desk and taking a break causes you more stress than it relieves? Self-care is an interesting concept but practicing it in reality…not a thing.

Constant worrying about productivity has been engrained in us from the American culture of the self-care industrial complex. But it doesn’t have to be that way! This week we are joined by the Good Doctor Kristen Donnelly who talks to us all about how productivity, self-care, and how to finally step away from the desk and take a break without having your mind going a mile a minute about what might be happening.

Kristen Donnelly is a TEDx speaker, international empathy educator, and researcher with two decades of experience in helping people understand the beauty in differences and the power of inclusivity.

Other topics we dive into include the communal grief that the pandemic has laid on us all and the lack of a path towards processing the grief, American culture, values, and norms, finding joy & happiness, and the ability to make the choice to experience a new day every day.
