MONDAY MINDSET RESET · EPISODE 4
Clarity doesn't come first — movement does
11–13 min · Closing Week 4· Season 1
The middle of change tells a convincing lie: that you need more clarity before you can take a step. This episode closes the month with the opposite truth — clarity follows movement, not the other way around — and asks you to name one honest step before the episode ends.
IN THIS EPISODE
→ The lie the middle tells about needing certainty before you can move
→ Why urgency masquerades as direction — and how to tell the difference
→ What makes a step honest, recoverable, and values-aligned, versus just fast
→ A practice for naming one small step to take this week
→ A look ahead to August — going into the body and the nervous system
THE TEACHING
When working with someone in the middle of change, the first question isn't where do you want to end up. It's: what is one honest next step? Not the right step — the one small enough to be recoverable if it's not quite right, and aligned with what matters rather than with what quiets the anxiety fastest.
THIS WEEK'S REFLECTION
What is one small, honest, recoverable step you can take this week — before you have the full picture?
Write it down. Name the value that's guiding it. That's the whole assignment.
ANCHOR STATEMENT
You don't need clarity to move. You need one honest, values-aligned step. Clarity follows from there.
CLOSING OUT WEEK 4
This episode closes the month of Naming the Middle. Listeners now have language for the middle of change, a map of the five phases, and a framework for orientation. August moves into the body — the nervous system, regulation, and why most people try to think their way through transition without ever addressing what it does physically.
