Focus: Our final hope is not escaping earth, but God making all
things new and dwelling with His people forever.

I. God Is Making All Things New
“Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth” (Revelation 21:1).
Our ultimate hope is not escaping creation, but God’s restoration of it.
Everything sin has corrupted; God will make right.
The brokenness of this world doesn’t get the final word. Jesus does!

II. God Is Making His Home with Us
“Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man.” (Revelation 21:3).
The greatest gift of heaven is not what will be there, but WHO will be there!
No more death. No more mourning. No more pain. No more separation.
Our ultimate hope isn’t simply the absence of suffering. It’s the presence of our
Savior.

III. God Is Inviting Us to Come Home
“To the thirsty I will give from the spring of the water of life without payment”
(Revelation 21:6).
Salvation is not something we earn, but a gift we receive through Jesus Christ.
The God who promises to make all things new is already making people new
today.
We don’t overcome because we’re strong. We overcome because Jesus has
overcome!

IV. Am I living with my eyes fixed on the brokenness of this world, or on the promise of
the One who is making all things new? Who needs to hear this hope through me?

Sermon Outline:

Jesus is preparing a people, not merely saving individuals. We belong
to the Bride of Christ, and we need one another to remain faithful until He
comes.

I. Jesus Is Preparing a People, Not Merely Saving Individuals
“The marriage of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready” (19:7)
Jesus gave His life to create a redeemed people who belong to Him.
The Church isn’t simply a place we attend. It’s a family where we belong.
Nobody overcomes alone.

II. The Family of Faith Reflects the Love of the Lamb
“Fine linen, bright and pure, was given her to wear” (19:8)
We are saved by grace, and that same grace transforms how we live.
The Bride is called to reflect the heart of the Bridegroom.
We don’t merely talk about restoration. We participate in it. (i.e. Paul Smith in Sierra Leone)

III. The Family of Faith Is Getting Ready for a Wedding
“Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb!” (19:9)
The Holy Spirit is preparing us through holiness, obedience, worship, and love.
We help one another remain faithful until Christ returns.
We are not simply waiting for a wedding. We are being prepared for one.

IV. How am I helping others in the family of faith grow closer to Jesus?
And who might God be calling me to welcome into His family?
