A proposito di questo titolo
This is part of a year-long reading of the Bible chronologically in a harmonized format.
Job 25:1 - 28:28
- Bildad briefly asserts God's dominion and majesty, arguing that no human can be righteous before Him.
- Job sarcastically responds to his friends, then extols God's incomparable power over creation, maintains his integrity while describing the ultimate fate of the wicked, and poetically reflects that true wisdom is found only in fearing the Lord.
Mark 1:12-13
- Immediately after His baptism, the Spirit drives Jesus into the wilderness.
- Jesus spends forty days there, tempted by Satan, living among wild animals while angels minister to Him.
Luke 4:1-13
- Filled with the Holy Spirit, Jesus is led into the wilderness for forty days of fasting and temptation by the devil.
- Satan tempts Him three times—to turn stones to bread, to worship for kingdoms, and to jump from the temple—but Jesus counters each with Scripture, and Satan departs until an opportune time.
