John 20:11-18 // Gabe Coyle

John 20:11–18 records the deeply personal encounter between Mary Magdalene and the risen Lord. Overcome with grief outside the empty tomb, Mary mistakes jesus for the gardener until he speaks her name, revealing his victory over death. Jesus then sends her to declare his resurrection to the disciples, demonstrating how he transforms sorrow into hope and commissions his followers to share the gospel message. This sermon explores how jesus meets us in our sorrow and gives us a clear purpose.

Matthew 16:13-20 // Bill Gorman

Matthew 16:13–20 records a pivotal moment in Caesarea Philippi, where Jesus asks his disciples who people say he is, followed by Simon Peter’s bold confession that he is the Messiah. Jesus affirms Peter, revealing that this truth came directly from the Father, and promises to build his church on this solid foundation so that the gates of hell will not overcome it. He also grants kingdom authority through the keys of heaven. This sermon breaks down what it means to acknowledge Jesus as King and stand firm on the rock of his identity.
