  • Celebrating Cozy Mysteries with Kate Lansing and Mindy Quigley
    Dec 2 2025

Agatha Christie helped to create a sub-genre of mystery that eventually became cozy mysteries. Her Miss Marple offered the foundation for a new literary field. For those new to cozies, these titles are mysteries that involve very little to no swearing, very little to no blood/on the page gore, no on the page sex, set in a small town/small community, and features an amateur sleuther. Today, some of the unspoken rules include no injured animals (you can't harm the dog!), puns are a welcome addition, and food references are always a bonus. Let's celebrate Agatha Christie!
