This podcast is our unfiltered, unsolicited take on motherhood. While parenting is often sold as sunshine and rainbows, real life looks more like thunderstorms, emotional tsunamis, and the occasional hurricane, with a rainbow showing up sometimes.

This is for moms who love their kids but also love honest, sarcastic, say-it-out-loud conversations about the chaos, pressure, and unrealistic expectations of motherhood. No perfection. No toxic positivity. The moms who are tired of the “do it all gracefully” narrative. Just real talk, real laughs, and moments that make you say, “Yep, that’s me.”

  • Kissing Babies And What Not
    Sep 25 2026

In this episode we’re talking about family traditions, the ones we grew up with, the ones we wanted to carry on, and the new ones we’re creating for our own families.

But with traditions also come expectations… and sometimes, boundaries. We get into what it was like becoming moms during COVID, standing our ground when people didn’t necessarily agree with our choices, and realizing that having a baby somehow makes everybody think they get a vote.

And because we’re raising kids in a completely different world, we have to talk about the internet. From posting our children online to asking family members not to share pictures, we unpack why some people have such a hard time respecting those boundaries, and why parents shouldn’t have to keep explaining themselves.

At the end of the day, we’re all figuring out which parts of our upbringing we want to hold onto, what we want to change, and what traditions our kids will hopefully complain about to their own friends one day.

  • Breaking Generational Curses & What Proverbs to pass on
    Sep 22 2026

This episode, we’re digging into our African roots and asking the question: are we breaking generational curses… or are some of these cultural proverbs actually worth keeping? 😂

We’re talking about the things our parents told us growing up, the lessons that still make sense today, and the ones that have us wondering, wait… why did we believe that?!

And then there are all those things we SWORE we would never do when we became parents… only to hear our parents’ exact words coming out of our mouths. Because apparently becoming your mother is a slow process you don’t realize is happening until it’s already too late.

From cultural traditions to parenting habits and the things we’re choosing to do differently, we’re figuring out what deserves to be passed down and what can respectfully end with us.

Whether you grew up in an African household or just had parents who hit you with a good old “because I said so,” there’s something in this one for you.

  • Kids Vs. Food
    Jul 18 2026

In this episode, we're catching up on summer so far, reliving our glorious bestie spa day (10/10, highly recommend), and reminding ourselves what it feels like to be relaxed... even if it was only for a few hours.

Then we dive headfirst into one of the internet's most exhausting debates: Who eats first, the man or the kids? We honestly can't believe we're even discussing it, but somehow this conversation resurfaces every year on Beyoncé's internet. So naturally, we had to weigh in, call out the toxicity, and add a little common sense to the conversation.

As always, expect plenty of laughs, a few side quests, and the kind of unfiltered opinions you'd hear if you were sitting at the table with us.

Grab a snack and join the conversation... preferably while the kids aren't asking you for a bite every 30 seconds.

    Welcome back to Chasing Sanity.
