    God’s love is better than you’ve been told—and His goodness is the key to your God-given dreams. In this powerful episode of Perspectives with Catherine Toon, Catherine dismantles religious lies about God and reveals a Father who only gives good and perfect gifts, never evil or punishment in disguise. So many of us have been taught to fear our desires, to distrust our hearts, and to wonder if God is secretly against us. Catherine walks us through James 1 and other key scriptures to show that God is never the source of temptation, shame, or destruction—He is the Father of lights, with no shadow of turning. From there, she explores how our true identity in Christ is good, holy, and beloved, even while we’re still a “work in process.” You’ll hear how sin is really a distorted image problem that leads to behaviors that bring death—but your original design in Christ is untouched, rooted in eternal love. Out of that identity, God has planted dreams in you that reflect His heart. He actually wants you to enjoy life, to experience heaven on earth, and to walk in spiritual transformation as you partner with Him. Catherine also shares how a playful, dancing God (Proverbs 8) delights in you, gives you “richly all things to enjoy,” and invites you into a lifestyle of experiencing God in everyday desires, choices, and dreams. This isn’t performance-based religion—it’s awakened sonship and daughterhood. Practical takeaway: Ask Holy Spirit to highlight one deep desire you’ve secretly doubted. Write it down, renounce the lie that God is against it, and pray: “Father, let Your kingdom come and Your will be done in this area of my life.” Then listen for how He wants to walk it out with you.
