This week’s discussion is over Star Trek: Enterprise season 1 episode 13, Sleeping Dogs

A Klingon scout ship is sinking into a gas giant, poisoned by its own victory celebration, and the only survivor awake steals the rescuers' ride home. In the Sleeping Dogs log, T'Pol, Reed, and Sato are stranded aboard the Somraw while Captain Archer learns to think like a Klingon — and Ensign Sato, who volunteered, becomes the officer the whole rescue turns on.

In this episode, Thara and Elias follow the sinking Somraw, Bu'kaH's escape and capture, Phlox's discovery that the neurotoxin rode in on looted Xarantine ale, Sato's reading of the Klingon captain's log and her call to fire every torpedo at once, T'Pol's quiet mentorship in the galley, and Archer's face-down of the ungrateful Klingon captain — while, in the archive, a freight lift loaded with uncatalogued crates sinks toward a flooded pit and Elias must win over a Records operator who refuses on principle to crank it. The hosts disagree on whether sending a sick Reed down was devotion or a scheduling failure, and on how much of Earth's reputation was written by this one rescue.

Verdicts:
Elias 8 out of 10
Thara 9 out of 10.
