Corruption if finally breaking through to voters. For years, Americans have been told not to worry about corruption because their favorite politician wasn't corrupt. The other politician was corrupt. Then the next election arrived and the roles revered. Imagine that. Americans have spent decades watching politician accuse one another of waste, favoritism, influence-peddling, insider dealing, and ethical gymnastics that would make an Olympic coach jealous. Most voters eventually developed a coping strategy. They stopped listening.
