Stage 19 of the 2024 Vuelta a España. This was one of those stages they call undulating, with a summit finish. The stage covered 173.5 kilometers, taking the riders from LOGROÑO to ALTO DE MONCALVILLO.
On this day, the peloton didn't allow the breakaway to gain an optimal advantage to contest the stage, as there were many interests at play. Teams like RedBull Bora took charge of controlling the race. Primoz Roglic dealt a heavy blow to the general classification, donning the red jersey and gaining an advantage over all his competitors. It was a good day for Enric Mas, although the finale proved to be a bit long for him.
Ben O'Connor is starting to see his position in the top 3 of the general classification become complicated.
Tomorrow is Stage 20 of this 2024 Vuelta a España. The penultimate day of this Vuelta will see the riders face a very tough mountain stage covering 172 kilometers.
