  • Ohio State Recruiting: Will 2027 Be Larry Johnson's Best Class Ever?
    Jun 29 2026
Ohio State's 2027 defensive line recruiting class was already one of the strongest in recent history, and then Larry Johnson added a commitment on Monday from 5-star edge Marcus Fakatou. Now, with the nation's top overall player, 5-star David Jacobs, already committed, along with 4-stars Wyatt Smith and Prince Goldsby (considered an edge by many ranking sources), where does this rank among the greatest defensive line classes in Ohio State history?

Tony Gerdeman of BuckeyeInsiders.com joins host Tom Orr to discuss that, and where this year's class stacks up against some of the best hauls of the past including 2021 (JT Tuimoloau, Jack Sawyer, Tyleik Williams, Mike Hall), and 2016 (Nick Bosa, Jonathon Cooper, Malik Barrow), and more.

    Jun 24 2026
Jake Diebler's third full season as Ohio State's head coach is going to have a different - and bigger - look than the previous two years. The Buckeyes loaded up with big bodies in the front court to allow Amare Bynum to play farther from the hoop, and those bigger players should give OSU the ability to throw a number of different looks at opponents.

In this episode of the Buckeyes TomOrrow Morning podcast, Marcus Hartman, the new basketball insider at BuckeyeInsiders.com, joins host Tom Orr to discuss the four big players that Diebler is going to roll out this year, and how they could change the game for the basketball Buckeyes.
    • Ivan Njegoven, who is ready to take on a bigger role in year three
    • Andrija Jelavic, a Kentucky transfer who can stretch the floor
    • Josh Ojianwuna, a big-bodied Baylor transfer who can provide muscle down low
    • Vuk Lazerovic, a freshman who may be a year away from taking on a role
