In this powerful follow-up to his testimony, Eddie LaBauve returns to Brothers Just Searching to share another deeply personal part of his journey with Christ. Eddie opens up about reconciliation and forgiveness with his father, the impact of his past on his own children, and how God has used those experiences to teach him about the love of a father. From brokenness, addiction, rebellion, and regret to redemption, restoration, and a renewed passion for Jesus, Eddie shares how God continued to pursue him even in his darkest moments. This episode is a powerful reminder that forgiveness brings freedom, God can redeem the broken places in our lives, and our testimony can become a source of hope and encouragement for others.Don’t forget to subscribe to the podcast and follow us on Facebook also leave us a review If You Like To donate to this podcast you can through cashapp or email us at brothersjustsearchingpodcast@gmail.com for more infoAnything is appreciated Cashapp infoBJSmediaThis podcast is brought to you by BJS MEDIA. In this powerful episode of Brothers Just Searching, Eddie shares his raw and honest testimony of how God transformed his life—from a difficult upbringing and years of anger, rebellion, addiction, and trouble with the law to finding redemption and new purpose through Jesus Christ. Eddie opens up about the influence of his father’s faith, his own encounter with Christ in 2003, the struggles and church hurt he experienced along the way, and how God continued to pursue him through every season. Today, Eddie is passionate about helping others—especially young people—see that their past does not have to define their future. His story is a powerful reminder that no matter how far someone has fallen or how dark life may become, God can still reach them, restore them, and give them a new purpose.

Can we see God? What does the Bible really mean when it says, “No man has seen God at any time”? In this episode of Brothers Just Searching, Isaac Hayes, Anthony Hayes, Hezekiah Hernandez Smith, and Bowen Robin continue their study through 1 John 4, examining what it means that God is love, how believers demonstrate God’s love through their lives, and how we can know that God dwells in us through the Holy Spirit. The brothers discuss Moses, Isaiah, Ezekiel, John, and the glory of God, while also looking at John 14:6, the deity of Jesus Christ, salvation through faith in Christ, the finished work of the cross, the baptism of the Holy Spirit, false doctrine, and why Jesus is not merely a good teacher or prophet—He is the Son of God and the only way to the Father. This Bible study is focused on discipleship, Christian growth, biblical truth, the Holy Spirit, salvation, and encouraging believers to keep their faith in Jesus Christ and His finished work at Calvary.

In this episode of Brothers Just Searching, Anthony, Kai, and Bowen dive into 1 John 4 and one of the most important warnings given to Christians: “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God.”

The brothers discuss spiritual warfare, the reality of the spiritual world, false prophets, deception, and what the Bible teaches about the spirit of Antichrist. They also explore how believers can recognize truth and error by staying grounded in the Word of God and keeping Jesus Christ at the center of their faith.

The conversation also turns toward Christian living and the difference between simply calling yourself a Christian and actually living a life that reflects Christ. The brothers talk about worldly influence, religious tradition, salvation, repentance, spiritual deception, and why our foundation must be built on Jesus Christ.

Topics discussed include:

• 1 John 4 and testing the spirits

• Spiritual warfare and the unseen spiritual world

• The spirit of Antichrist

• False prophets and spiritual deception

• How to recognize truth and error

• Why Christians need to know the Word of God

• The difference between religion and a genuine relationship with Christ

• Living out your faith through your actions

• Staying faithful when the world tries to influence you

• Salvation, repentance, grace, and mercy

• Why Jesus Christ must be our foundation

This is a powerful and challenging conversation about guarding your faith, recognizing deception, and remaining connected to Christ.

In this episode of Brothers Just Searching, we continue our verse-by-verse study through 1 John 3:19–24, discussing what it truly means to have assurance of salvation and the evidence of genuine faith.

Can you know you're saved? What is the difference between conviction and condemnation? How do faith and works fit together? We explore how a believer's love for Christ and love for others reveal a transformed heart, why obedience flows from a relationship with Jesus—not an attempt to earn salvation—and how the Holy Spirit works to conform us into the image of Christ.

Join us as we examine Scripture and encourage one another to keep our faith anchored in Jesus Christ and His finished work on the Cross.

Scripture: 1 John 3:19–24

In this episode of Brothers Just Searching, the brothers continue their study through 1 John 3, exploring what it truly means to love as Christ loved us. Looking at 1 John 3:16-24, they discuss Christ's sacrificial love, serving fellow believers with humility, forgiving those who have wronged us, and putting our faith into action rather than just speaking about it. Along the way, they connect these verses with Jesus washing His disciples' feet, the teachings of James, and practical examples of showing compassion to others. As always, the conversation is filled with laughter, personal stories, and a desire to encourage believers to live out their faith in both truth and love.
