  • Mike vs. Sean Week, Plus the NFL Coaching Portal Era
    Jan 21 2026
Championship Sunday is here, and somehow the NFL still found time to spin the coaching carousel at full speed. We start with the latest moves around the league, including John Harbaugh heading to New York, Kevin Stefanski landing in Atlanta, Jeff Hafley taking over in Miami, and Robert Saleh getting another shot in Tennessee. We also react to Matt LaFleur’s extension in Green Bay, Buffalo pulling the plug on Sean McDermott, and Mike McDaniel resurfacing as the Chargers’ offensive coordinator.

From there, Derek explains why the NFL coaching market is starting to look a lot like the college transfer portal, while Caleb makes the case that the single playoff bye might be the most important advantage in all of pro sports.

Then it’s all about Mike vs. Sean Week. We preview both championship matchups—Patriots at Broncos and Rams at Seahawks—breaking down the key storylines, matchup edges, and X-factors that could decide who punches a ticket to the Super Bowl. Riley Moss, RJ Harvey, Grey Zabel, and Davante Adams all get the spotlight as the margins get thinner and the stakes get heavier.

We close things out with Brodie Bets, recapping last week’s results and locking in our picks for the biggest weekend of the season. No safety nets, no excuses—just two games left before everything turns into legacy talk.

  • The Second Weekend Hurts More: Divisional Round Preview
    Jan 14 2026
The postseason chaos isn’t slowing down. We open with another wave of firings and front-office moves as Miami parts ways with Mike McDaniel, Pittsburgh watches Mike Tomlin step away, and both the Eagles and Chargers hit reset on their offenses. We also look ahead at how the open jobs could shake out, matching coaches to landing spots and asking which franchises are actually ready for a reset—and which are just rearranging deck chairs.

From there, we take stock of the teams already sent home, breaking down the single biggest thing each Wild Card loser has to fix this offseason—from identity crises in Green Bay to long-term vision problems in Pittsburgh. Derek makes the case that Indiana deserves real respect (and that Dante Moore discourse has gone off the rails), while Caleb explains why the 4 seed might quietly be the most dangerous trap in the playoff bracket.

Then it’s all about the Divisional Round. Bills–Broncos, 49ers–Seahawks, Rams–Bears, and Texans–Patriots all get full previews, complete with X-factors on both sides and the matchups that will decide who moves on and who spends January updating résumés. We wrap things up with Brodie Bets, recapping last week’s picks and locking in this weekend’s slate as the margin for error officially disappears.

January doesn’t forgive—and this round proves it.

  • Coaching Casualties and the Wild Card Gauntlet
    Jan 7 2026
The postseason opens the only way the NFL knows how—by firing half the league. We start with a full breakdown of Black Monday fallout, including surprise exits in Baltimore, Atlanta, Cleveland, Arizona, and Las Vegas, plus sweeping changes in Dallas and Washington. We also tip the cap to Montana State after a dominant FCS Championship run.

From there, Derek explains why player development has become the real arms race in the NIL era, while Caleb makes the case that quarterback upgrades won’t magically fix the Raiders or Jets. We close the book on preseason over/unders, check the final standings in the season-long competition, and set the stage for Wild Card Weekend.

Every matchup gets its due—from Rams-Panthers to Texans-Steelers—with X-factors on both sides and a clear-eyed look at where each game can be won or lost. Brodie Bets wraps things up with a look back at last week’s results and a fresh slate of postseason picks as the playoff grind officially begins.

The regular season is over. The excuses are gone. And the margins only get thinner from here.
