  • Park by Park: Typhoon Lagoon vs Blizzard Beach – Which Is Best with a Young Child?
    Oct 17 2026

It's time to swap the theme parks for swimsuits!

This week on Brits in the Magic, our Park by Park series continues as we take a slight detour from Walt Disney World's four main theme parks and dive into Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach!

We're putting Disney's two water parks head-to-head and asking one big question: which is better when you're visiting Walt Disney World with a 4-year-old?

We explore the tropical surroundings of Typhoon Lagoon, from its famous Surf Pool and Castaway Creek to family attractions, bigger slides and the areas designed especially for younger children. Then we're heading into the Florida snow at Blizzard Beach, talking about everything from Cross Country Creek and Teamboat Springs to Tike's Peak – and, of course, the terrifying prospect of Summit Plummet!

But this wouldn't be Park by Park without putting both parks through the Little B Test. We discuss what a 4-year-old can actually do at each park, which children's areas work best, how the wave pools compare, whether the family attractions really are fun for the whole family and which water park Little B would choose if he had the final say.

We also tackle another important question for anyone planning a Walt Disney World holiday: can a Disney water-park day genuinely be a rest day? Or is looking after a 4-year-old around slides, splash areas and lazy rivers somehow even more exhausting than walking around Magic Kingdom all day?

We'll also hand out our five Brits in the Magic Park Awards before finishing with another quick-fire round – including Surf Pool vs Melt-Away Bay, big slides vs lazy rivers and the ultimate showdown...

    Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach?

Whether the Disney water parks are an essential part of every Walt Disney World holiday for you, you've never visited either of them, or you're trying to decide which one to include on your next family trip, come and join us as we find out which Disney water park comes out on top!

  • Park by Park: Animal Kingdom – Is It More Than Just a Zoo?
    Oct 3 2026

Welcome to the wild side of Walt Disney World!

This week on Brits in the Magic, our Park by Park series continues as we head to Disney's Animal Kingdom – and we're tackling a question that seems to follow this park around wherever it goes:

Is Animal Kingdom really more than just a zoo?

We're taking a closer look at everything the park has to offer, from heading out onto the savanna on Kilimanjaro Safaris and exploring the incredible world of Pandora, to some of Animal Kingdom's biggest attractions including Avatar Flight of Passage and Expedition Everest.

But just like our Hollywood Studios episode, we're also putting Animal Kingdom through the Little B Test. How much is there for a 4-year-old to actually do? Are the animals more exciting than the rides? Are there enough attractions for younger children? And what does Animal Kingdom offer Little B that none of the other Walt Disney World parks can?

We also look beyond the rides to some of the experiences that make Animal Kingdom different, including Festival of the Lion King, Finding Nemo, character meets and Rafiki's Planet Watch. Plus, we chat about some of our favourite places to eat around the park and ask whether Animal Kingdom might secretly be one of the best parks in Walt Disney World for food!

Then we imagine we've only got ONE DAY at Animal Kingdom with a young child. What would we rope drop? Where would we eat? Which attractions would make the cut? And what are the three things we think a family with a young child absolutely shouldn't miss?

We'll also hand out our five Brits in the Magic Park Awards for Best Ride, Best Attraction for Little B, Best Food or Snack, Best Non-Ride Experience and our Favourite Animal Kingdom Memory.

And, as always, we finish with a quick-fire round – including Kilimanjaro Safaris vs Na'vi River Journey, Flight of Passage vs Expedition Everest, Africa vs Pandora and the one Animal Kingdom attraction we'd choose if we could only ever experience one again!

Whether Animal Kingdom is your favourite Walt Disney World park, one you usually only spend half a day in, or you've always dismissed it as “just a zoo”, come and join us as we find out what makes this park so different – and what it's really like experiencing it with a 4-year-old.

  • Park by Park: Hollywood Studios – Is It Actually Good with a Young Child?
    Sep 19 2026

    Lights, camera… Hollywood Studios!

This week on Brits in the Magic, we're kicking off a brand-new series where we're taking a closer look at each of the four Walt Disney World theme parks – and first up, we're heading to Disney's Hollywood Studios!

We're diving into everything the park has to offer, from the larger-than-life world of Toy Story Land and the incredible theming of Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, to some of our favourite attractions including Slinky Dog Dash, Toy Story Mania, Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway, Tower of Terror and Rise of the Resistance.

But we're also asking one big question throughout the episode: just how good is Hollywood Studios when you're visiting with a 4-year-old?

We put the park through the Little B Test, sharing which attractions have worked best for him, how we deal with rides he isn't able – or doesn't want – to experience, and whether Hollywood Studios really has enough to keep a young child entertained for an entire day.

It's not all about the rides either! We chat about characters, shows and entertainment, including Fantasmic!, as well as some of our favourite places to eat around the park and where we'd choose if we could only have one Hollywood Studios meal.

Then we put ourselves to the test by planning what we'd prioritise if we only had ONE DAY at Hollywood Studios with a young child, before handing out our first-ever Brits in the Magic Park Awards!

And, as always, we finish with a Hollywood Studios Quick Fire – including Toy Story Land vs Galaxy's Edge, Slinky Dog Dash vs Toy Story Mania, Woody vs Buzz and the one Hollywood Studios attraction we'd choose if we could only ever ride one again!

Whether you're planning your first Walt Disney World holiday, visiting with young children or simply love Hollywood Studios as much as we do, come and join us as we explore everything this park has to offer.

One park down, three to go… see you in the magic!

  • Disney Dining Plan: Was it Actually Worth It?
    Sep 5 2026

This week on Brits in the Magic, we're tackling one of the biggest questions when planning a Walt Disney World holiday – is the Disney Dining Plan actually worth the money?

After using the Disney Dining Plan throughout our recent Walt Disney World trip, we're looking back at how it worked for our family and, most importantly, whether we actually got our money's worth!

We chat about why we decided to add the Dining Plan to our holiday, how we used our table-service, quick-service and snack credits, and whether having our meals paid for in advance made the holiday easier. We'll also share where we think we got brilliant value – and where we might have been better off simply paying for our food ourselves.

From character dining and table-service restaurants to quick-service meals, Mickey Premium Bars and those all-important snack credits, we're looking at what we actually ate and asking whether our choices would have been different if we'd been paying out of pocket.

We also discuss how well the Dining Plan worked with 4-year-old Little B, whether the refillable resort mugs were genuinely useful, and the inevitable end-of-holiday mission to make sure no credits went to waste!

Then it's time for the big verdict: how much would our food have cost without the Dining Plan, how much did the plan cost us, and did we actually save any money?

And, as always, we finish with another quick-fire round covering our favourite meal, best snack, best restaurant for Little B, Mickey Premium Bar vs Dole Whip and the ultimate question…

Disney Dining Plan: YES or NO?

Whether you're planning your first Walt Disney World holiday or debating whether to add the Dining Plan to your next trip, we hope our experience helps you decide whether it's right for your family.
