In the final episode of Brenda and Alan this season, things take a nostalgic turn before quickly becoming slightly incriminating.

Brenda is on a mission to track down her long-lost pen pal, calling on all of Dublin to help find Michelle from Clondalkin.

While Brenda was “borrowing” from the Trocaire box, Alan was busy stealing from his home phone box, both of them admitting to childhood habits they probably shouldn’t be proud of.

Alan also shares the story of his very strange exchange student, who arrived with a questionable amount of products and left a lasting impression for all the wrong reasons.

In this episode of Brenda and Alan, they try to set one ground rule, no getting pervy. How long with that last?

Alan accuses Brenda of being a terrible hugger, which Brenda quickly defends, explaining exactly why he thinks that, only making things worse.

There is also a disastrous art competition attempt by Brenda and, of course, another Gossies mention.

Alan admits what dog breed gives him the shits, calling them “angry little bolloxes.”

And just when you think it cannot get any stranger, the conversation lands on pervert dogs. Brenda is convinced they exist and insists it is all in the eyes. Alan demands a definition, and the no pervy rule officially collapses.
