It's a special festival review episode of the Didn't Go Platinum podcast. Regular host Tim Bolitho-Jones is joined by hardcore scholars Chris Earl and Ellis Heasley to discuss this year's Outbreak festival in depth.
We look at all the important questions surrounding Britain's biggest hardcore fest: were the vegan brownies good? What's the best way to smuggle mini cheddars into a festival? And what's with all the Wu-Tang Clan being played on the PA?
Oh, and we discuss the veritable mountain of bands that we saw and enjoyed. From Fiddlehead to Alexisonfire to Trapped Under Ice to Static Dress, Hatebreed, Converge, Ingrown, Trash Talk, I Promise The World, and a bunch of others.
Join us for a stage-diving, crowd-killing, circle-pitting extravaganza. And if anyone did get video of Ellis doing a cartwheel, please send it in.
You can follow Didn't Go Platinum on Instagram and Threads at @dngplatinum or email the show at dngplatinum@gmail.com
Be sure to check out Outbreak Festival too, it's bloody great.
