  • Halloween Special With Ghost Tube And Reddit Chills
    Oct 29 2026

Send us a Comment, Question or Request, we'd love to hear from you

A ghost hunting app is switched on, sitting right there with us, and suddenly our cosy father-daughter chat turns into a proper Halloween night. We’re in costume, we’re laughing a lot, and we’re also bracing ourselves because we’ve brought a stack of one-sentence horror stories from Reddit. The rule is simple: we read them cold, react in real time, and let the creepy bits linger just long enough to make you check the mirror behind you.

If you love Halloween podcasts, paranormal chat, short horror fiction, and film recommendations, this is built for your spooky season playlist.

Subscribe for more, share it with a friend who loves a scare, and leave us a review so we know which line made you flinch most.

  • We Test Popular Pseudoscience With Curiosity
    Oct 22 2026

Send us a Comment, Question or Request, we'd love to hear from you

Pseudoscience is rarely sold as “nonsense”. It is sold as comfort, certainty, and a shortcut to understanding yourself when life feels messy. We’re Hannah and Davy, a father-daughter duo with very different default settings, and we spend this chat testing popular claims with curiosity, jokes, and a healthy dose of “prove it”. If you’ve ever read a horoscope and thought, hold on, that’s me, you’ll recognise the pull immediately.

If you like smart, funny conversations about critical thinking, evidence-based medicine, psychology, and the wellness industry, press play. Subscribe, share it with a mate who loves a horoscope, and leave us a review with the one claim you most want us to test next.

  • 30 Dark Facts That Will Make You Pause
    Oct 15 2026

Send us a Comment, Question or Request, we'd love to hear from you

Dark facts are easy to scroll past until someone says them out loud and you feel your stomach drop. We sit down as Hannah and Davey and work through 30 dark, twisted, deeply fascinating facts, swapping reactions and arguing our way through what they might mean. Some of them are grim, some are absurd, and a few are weirdly beautiful, but all of them pull at that same question: why are we so drawn to the unsettling?

If you love dark facts, weird history, psychology, and unsettling science with real reactions and a bit of gallows humour, press play. Subscribe, share it with a mate who loves the strange, and leave us a review so more people can find the podcast.

  • Useless Inventions That Somehow Exist
    Oct 8 2026

Send us a Comment, Question or Request, we'd love to hear from you

A USB pet rock that plugs into your computer and proudly does nothing might be the most honest tech product ever made.

We’re Hannah and Davey, and we spend this chat pulling apart “useless inventions” to find out which gadgets are truly pointless, which are misunderstood, and which might actually help someone.

We start with our usual father-daughter chaos, then it’s gadget time.

Subscribe for more, share the podcast with someone who loves weird tech and big tangents, and leave us a review if you want to keep this chaos going. Which invention is secretly genius, and which one should be banned on sight?

  • Why These Dystopian Stories Still Matter - Part Two
    Oct 1 2026

Send us a Comment, Question or Request, we'd love to hear from you

What if the scariest dystopias are not about the far future, but about habits we already have? We go back into the bleak stuff and it gets real fast: book burning, collapsed trust, climate chaos, and societies that drift into control not with a bang, but with a shrug.

We start with Ray Bradbury’s Fahrenheit 451 and pull apart the part people miss: the danger is not only censorship from above, it is us choosing shallow entertainment because it is easier than thinking. That takes us into doomscrolling, shrinking attention spans, and how media can twist context until you second-guess your own voice. From there we jump to Children of Men and the dread of a world without a next generation, linking it to declining birth rates, the cost of raising children, and why “who will look after you?” is a grim reason to create a life.

Then we widen the lens: Octavia E Butler’s Parable of the Sower shows climate change as a chain reaction that drives scarcity, migration, violence, and political instability. Gattaca forces the ethics of genetic engineering and designer babies into the open, while Snowpiercer asks the blunt question about inequality in a crisis: do the rich simply buy their way out? We finish with Station Eleven, the pandemic dystopia that flips survival into something bigger, asking what we would fight to preserve: electricity and supermarkets, or art, education, and human connection.

If you like dystopian books, dystopian films, and big conversations about censorship, climate change, misinformation, and resilience, hit subscribe, share it with a mate, and leave us a review. What’s the one dystopian warning you think we are ignoring right now?

  • Dystopia Feels Uncomfortably Close - Part One
    Sep 24 2026

Send us a Comment, Question or Request, we'd love to hear from you

Your phone is your diary, your bank, your memory, and sometimes your unfiltered thoughts. So what happens when the tools we rely on every day start to look like the plot of a dystopian novel? We sit down as Bonus Dad and Bonus Daughter to talk through the bleak brilliance of dystopian stories and why they feel so current in 2026.

We start with George Orwell’s 1984 and the idea that surveillance no longer needs to be forced when we carry tracking devices by choice. CCTV, Ring doorbells, facial recognition, deepfakes, and the slow manipulation of truth all feed into a bigger question: how close are we to living under “Big Brother” conditions? We also get practical and personal, digging into Face ID versus passcodes, password habits, multi-factor authentication, and why your phone has effectively become an extension of your brain.

Then we pivot to Aldous Huxley’s Brave New World, where control comes through comfort. We talk addiction, dopamine, alcohol culture in the UK, and whether smartphones and algorithms now do the job of “soma” by keeping us entertained and compliant. Finally, we introduce The Handmaid’s Tale and the chilling speed at which rights and identity can be stripped away, linking Atwood’s warning to real-world debates around abortion, contraception, and bodily autonomy.

If you like thoughtful chats about books, films, technology, privacy, and politics, hit subscribe, share this with someone who loves a good dystopian rabbit hole, and leave us a review. What’s the most realistic dystopia to you right now?

  • No Cornetto No Chance Of Survival - Zombie Apocalypse Part One
    Sep 10 2026

Send us a Comment, Question or Request, we'd love to hear from you

Zombie apocalypse stories are fun until you treat them like a real planning exercise. We do exactly that, starting from the moment the news breaks and the walkers are out there, then turning it into a quiz where the value is in the reasoning, not the “right” answer.

We set ground rules for classic Romero zombies, then get painfully practical about emergency preparedness: what to grab from a corner shop, how to cook when the power goes, and why long-life food, tins, rice, pasta and UHT milk beat fantasy kit every time. From there we talk home security, the first thing you actually do when panic hits, and the overlooked essentials that can ruin you later, including eyesight, spare glasses, contact lenses, tape and simple medical basics.

Then we go bigger: weapons you can realistically use, the best vehicle for a run, and how UK roads, fuel limits and noise change everything. Finally, we debate the best apocalypse base with proper pros and cons, from farms and shopping centres to islands, castles and prisons, factoring in defence, supplies, morale and medical access. We wrap by teeing up part two of our zombie apocalypse plan, because we are only getting started.
