In this episode, after recapping Scottie's dominant win in the first playoff event, the guys introduce a brand new series in the book of Proverbs called Wise Up! There is hardly a more practical book in the Bible, especially for men.

We are starting a brand new series in the book of Proverbs. Rather than providing some introductory comments to get acclimated, we are going to get right into the book and let Proverbs introduce itself.

    Topics covered:

    - Congrats to Webber on being named Assistant Captain for the Presidents Cup team!

    - Bible Caddie is hiring a Digital Content Producer in Nashville. Go to the career tab on biblecaddie.com.

    - Proverbs are short, memorable sayings that give us guidelines for godly living

    - Proverbs are principles not promises. If we expect them to function as promises, we will leave ourselves vulnerable to discouragement and despair.

    - Biblical wisdom is right thinking that leads to right action so that we live in right relationship with God and others in the real world

  • Get in the Game! | Episode 174
    Aug 14 2026

Episode 174 | Get in the Game! | Matthew 9:36-38

In this episode, after a summer recap the guys welcome Jason Stubblefield, Bible Caddie's Director of Groups, to unpack Matthew 9:36-38. They invite the listeners to join them in carrying the good news about Jesus to the world of golf.

We are continuing our study in the Gospel of Matthew. Jesus Christ, the promised Messiah, the Son of the Living God, preached this message to show His followers what it looks like to be a disciple in His invisible kingdom as we live everyday lives in the real world.

    Topics covered:

    - We are back! Five weeks off and what the Lord has been teaching us this summer

    - Webb's summer: mission trip to Czech Republic with Providence Church planting new churches through sports camps

    - Ben's summer: time with Alistair Begg in Ohio, Senior British Open in Scotland, and hosting 20 boys for a night in the Word around Ecclesiastes 2

    - William's summer: first ever Bible Caddie event in the Czech Republic at a country club outreach

    - Romans 8:1 has captured Webb's attention afresh this summer: there is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus

    - The Way of Repentance by Chris Braun: repentance as a way of life and an invitation into the refreshment that God has for us

    - Starting next week: Bible Caddie is headed into the Old Testament for the very first time with the Book of Proverbs

    - Whatever day of the month it is, read that Proverb. Just slow down on it. Find 2 or 3. Meditate on them.

    - The big push for today's episode: we want you to get in the game with us to carry the good news about Jesus to the world of golf

    - Matthew 9:36-38: when Jesus saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd

    - He saw past the quarter zips and bank accounts and posturing. He saw the brokenness and the hurt and the sin and the shame.

    - The harvest is plentiful but the laborers are few

    - Over 150 million golfers in over 200 countries and well over 100 million who don't know Jesus

    - Romans 10:14-15: how are they to hear without someone preaching? How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news.

    - Bible Caddie Featured Groups: local Bible study groups that partner with the Bible Caddie Podcast to carry the good news of Jesus to your golf community

    - Over 200 groups in 34 states and 4 countries

    - Roughly 35% of featured group leaders are leading a Bible study for the first time ever

    - The Word of God does the work. Isaiah 55: when God's Word is proclaimed, it never returns void.

    - Pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest (Matthew 9:38)

    - Here is your formal invitation: get in the game with us to carry the good news about Jesus to the world of golf

    - Golf is great, but being able to be a part of something bigger than me on earth, that's bigger than me

    - Going through mental struggles in 2015, 2016, 2017 and moving back to Pensacola

    - I got down on my knees and prayed and as soon as I said that in my head I was like, oh my gosh, get off the floor, what are you doing? And that's where my faith really started growing.

    - Golf was just the way that God got me to where he wanted me to be

    - I finally realized I'm giving all the glory to God

    - Why Bubba joined LIV and what he is trying to pour into his teammates

    - Romans 15:7: therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you for the glory of God

    - No matter where you've been, no matter what you've done, no matter how many mistakes you've made, Almighty God wants to welcome you through Jesus Christ

  • Grant Horvat on YouTube Golf, Faith, and Going All In on Jesus | Bible Caddie Classic
    Jul 31 2026

In this Bible Caddie Classic from Episode 138, William Kane, Ben Crane, and Webb Simpson sit down with YouTube golf sensation Grant Horvat. Grant is at the very top of the YouTube golf space. He talks about how he got there, what the Lord did along the way, and what it looks like to use a platform like his to live out his faith every single day.

    Topics covered:

    - Grant Horvat, the creme de la creme YouTube golf sensation, at the very top of the game

    - I played four years of college golf and I realized really quickly that the pro route was not what I wanted to do

    - It's a dream job. It doesn't get much better than going out there and filming golf videos for a living. It doesn't feel real.

    - Leaving Good Good was a very violent time in the YouTube golf space. I remember getting death threats and just terrible thousands of messages a day.

    - That's the closest I ever felt to God. It was just very late nights and the magnitude of this decision felt so big.

    - If you're a Christian, God is going to use whatever situation or circumstance you are in to make you more like Jesus

    - I remember a kid coming up to me on the range reciting everything we said in these videos word for word. And I'm thinking what about the hundreds of thousands of other kids out there absorbing this?

    - That was a moment where I had to be like, what is my purpose in this industry and how do I want to impact people?

    - The Lord was always tugging at me. I need to take this serious.

    - I went to chapel and then I would go out on Sunday and party. I felt like I was living two lives.

    - I made the decision in Dallas. I went and got baptized and I was like, I am all in.

    - It doesn't get easier once you make that decision. It only gets harder. It only requires more discipline.

    - My biggest goal with our channel is to make sure that families can sit down in their living room all together and watch the videos

    - Having to turn down brands that don't align with our goal is one of the hardest things

    - Proverbs 18:1: whoever isolates himself seeks his own desire. He breaks out against all sound judgment.

    - I don't talk a ton about my faith on videos but when you meet people in real life every other person wanted to talk about the faith conversation. Christians will support you really hard. They are their fans for life.

    - Just be a good person is something I hear a lot. But the definition of good across a thousand people changes like that. If we don't have a truth and a set of standards we are living by, what are we doing?

    - Jeremiah 29:11: for I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope

    - When things are going great it is so easy to say I did this on my own. But when things are going real bad and you feel like you don't know how you are going to get out of this, that is when you lean on the Lord

    - What do you have that you did not receive? If then you received it, why do you boast as if you did not receive it? (1 Corinthians 4:7)

  • Bernhard Langer on Winning the Masters and Coming to Faith in Christ | Bible Caddie Classic
    Jul 24 2026

In this Bible Caddie Classic from Episode 100, William Kane, Ben Crane, and Webb Simpson sit down with Bernhard Langer. Two Masters victories, 42 European Tour wins, 47 Champions Tour wins, six Schwab Cup titles, ten Ryder Cups, and a World Golf Hall of Famer. Bernhard shares the story of winning the 1985 Masters, the emptiness he felt that night, and how he came to faith in Christ weeks later at a Bible study led by PGA Tour chaplain Larry Moody.

    Topics covered:

    - Two Masters victories, 47 Champions Tour wins most ever, six Schwab Cup titles most ever, World Golf Hall of Famer

    - Don't look at leaderboards: the advice Bernhard gave Ben Crane early in his career that changed everything

    - Tearing his Achilles playing pickleball at 66 and winning on the Champions Tour nine months later

    - 18 years in a row winning on the Champions Tour which has never happened before to anybody else either

    - I believe God has given me this platform to be successful and I want to use it to spread the good news. That is part of what we are to do as ambassadors of Christ and I am certainly not ashamed of it

    - The 1991 Ryder Cup: missing the six foot putt and what his faith taught him about perspective

    - Larry, I have just missed a putt. It is not life and death. The only perfect person that ever lived, Jesus Christ, was crucified. So what I did was not all that bad

    - Winning the 1985 Masters and using the Lord's name in vain on live TV going out to 40 countries

    - Larry Moody and Scott Simpson got on their knees and prayed for Bernard that he would one day use the Lord's name in a different way

    - After winning the Masters I had this void in my heart. I had this emptiness. You are literally world number one. You have money, cars, houses, you are famous. And I had this emptiness and I had no idea why.

    - Bobby Clampett invited Bernhard to a Bible study and he showed up three nights after Larry Moody had prayed for him

    - John 3:3 and 3:5: you have to be born again to enter the kingdom of heaven

    - I knew I had never said the prayer where I would say Lord Jesus I acknowledge who you are, I give my life to you, I confess I am a sinner

    - The moment I did that the emptiness was gone. Left. And it has not returned. And this was 1985.

    - Winning the 1993 Masters on Easter Sunday: I am the only guy in Butler Cabin to mention Jesus twice, once in a very bad way

    - Money or victories are short lived. Only God can satisfy the void. Without him we are missing the biggest part.

    - We need to live life from an eternal perspective. Eternity is a very very long time compared to the 100 years we may live here on Earth.

    - Romans 8:28: and we know that for those who love God, all things work together for good for those who are called according to his purpose

    - God does some good to all people but he does all good to some people

    - Mold grows in the dark. Get it out. Get the sunlight on it. Talk to someone. Go to the Word.
