Unfortunately we have lost sight of what is truly happening around us. We have allowed ourselves to be consumers of church, we don't like to be uncomfortable, and we have forgotten how important Jesus is in our every day lives.

As a result the enemy has been on the move. We have allowed the enemy to invade all around us, and now we have a world full of broken people, everything pure has been perverted, and now it is beginning to be in front of our children.

We must act now to change this tide! Join me this week as we discuss this in depth on Beyond Sunday!

This week we dive right into the value and the importance of rest! What does God have to say about how important rest is?

We are living in a time where being overworked is considered a badge of honor. We neglect our families, other things that bring us enjoyment, and our own well being. This is not healthy and God shows us that.

When God was creating the world, He found it important to take a day of rest from His work. If rest was important to God, what makes us think that we don't need it? One thing that God has shown us through history though is either we can start taking this seriously and take necessary rest for ourselves, or God will force us to rest.

We can start with asking the following question...if you could ask God for any one thing, what would it be? Your answer to that one question reveals what is most important to you. It may also reveal what you may need to change in your values to align more with God to grow closer to him.

Seth also talks about how to create intimacy with God by being intentional in our actions that draw us closer to Him. Intimacy requires intentionality!

In this episode of Beyond Sunday Seth explains why it is important to understand the true character of Jesus. Many churches have misrepresented Jesus and have driven people away from relationships with Jesus, or have prevented people from wanting to experience Him in the first place.

Seth explains why we have to begin getting relationships with people right if we are ever going to introduce people to Jesus. This is the key to ending religious trauma, having a correct foundation to a relationship with Jesus, and ultimately seeing God move in a dramatic way.

On this episode of Beyond Sunday Seth finishes up his series on "Let Me Introduce You to J." The text for this show comes from Matthew 5:27-30. In an often misunderstood teaching of Jesus, this show will give more context to what Jesus was trying to teach people, which is that everything comes down to the heart.

We can't do things through performance. Jesus and the Holy Spirit is after changing our hearts. Once that happens we can truly follow Jesus correctly.

Seth also addresses the controversy of the Olympic Games Opening Ceremony controversy. We discuss how despite what the world says about our faith, some of this comes down to the fact that we are trying to influence the world in our own strength. Let Jesus change our hearts and the rest will come.

This week on Beyond Sunday, Seth introduces you to Jesus as someone who insists that you go through storms as a way of growing your faith and reliance on Him. We all spend a lot of our lives in storms, but with the right preparation we can come through the other side of the storm better than when we entered it! Life is about perspective; we can choose to continue to struggle and focus on the negative, or we can choose to focus on the great things around us because of our focus on Jesus. The second option is where Jesus is trying to get us to.

This week on Beyond Sunday we continue the series, Let me Introduce You to J. In this week's episode we find Jesus defending a woman caught in adultery and the story can be found in John Chapter 8. We discuss the importance of compassion and forgiveness. More importantly, we have learned to internalize most of the judgements we see given out all around us and condemn ourselves.

We discuss how it is important to understand the compassion that Jesus has and that we are not only supposed to be compassionate and forgiving to others, but also to ourselves.
