In this episode of the High-Tech Intermission, host Tarek Diouri--Adequin is joined by Jennifer Branch-Allen, president of the Australian Parents Council, to talk about a social media ban expected to be instated in France in late 2026.

    Jennifer brings a much needed perspective on what the reality of this ban could be like, as Australia launched its own ban for minors under 16 in December 2025. She shares some of the concrete effects of the "ban" and debates its finality, as Tarek contextualizes the ban proposal in France.
