Welcome to this bonus episode of Bede & Steve Vs. Camp Crystal Lake.

For this year of the podcast, your hosts Bede Jermyn & Steven T. Boltz spent two of 2026's three Friday 13th dates taking a look at Friday The 13th fan film franchise Never Hike Alone. After covering the first two installments Never Hike Alone (2017) on Friday February 13th and the prequel Never Hike Alone In The Snow (2020) Friday March 13th, Bede & Steve originally planned to do the third entry the next one F13 date in November. However, since the long awaited F13 TV series Crystal Lake was coming this month, your hosts decided it would be more fitting to make the Friday November 13th episode.

Instead of waiting for the next F13 date to come around in 2027 (which wouldn't be until August?!), Bede & Steve decided to push it up and release it on October 13th in honour of the Halloween season. For this episdoe, dive into the third and possible final entry in the Never Hike Alone fan franchise: the 2023 sequel Never Hike Alone 2, which was once again written & directed by Vincente DiSanti and features returning stars Thom Mathews & Vincent Guastaferro . What did Bede & Steve think of this third film in the Never Hike Alone series? Listen in and find out!

Welcome to this bonus episode of Bede & Steve Vs. Camp Crystal Lake.

There are many people throughout the history of Friday The 13th who have helped to make the series a popular staple of both horror and pop culture. However, there's no question that the franchise wouldn't be what it is today if it wasn't for the man who created it: Victor Miller, who wrote the script for the very first entry back in 1980. He was somone that your hosts Bede Jermyn & Steven T. Boltz greatly admired, so they both sadden to hear that Victor Miller had just passed away at the age of 86.

Since he was such imporant figure for Friday The 13th, Bede & Steve decided to get together and pay tribute to him with this bonus episode. Despite the more sombre tone, your hosts wanted to celebrate the life and accomplishments of Victor Miller. Not only that, even Steve shares a personal story that's connected to man himself. While he will be missed all of us F13 fans, his legacy will never be forgotten. Rest in peace, Victor Miller. Rest in peace.
