  • ALL THE GOODWILL IS GONE! Jets EMBARRASSED by Bears in Dreadful Loss
    Oct 5 2026

The first three games gave Jets fans something we haven't had very often:

    Hope.

Even at 1–2, the New York Jets looked different. They beat Tennessee, should've beaten Green Bay, fought all the way back against Detroit, and entered Chicago with an opportunity to get to 2–2 and make a statement.

Instead, they delivered their worst performance of the season.

The Jets lost 23–12 to a Bears team starting Tyson Bagent, were outgained 492–157, ran only 32 offensive plays, surrendered 232 rushing yards and committed 12 penalties. New York's offense produced only seven first downs and couldn't even capitalize when the defense forced two turnovers.

Minkah Fitzpatrick finally ended the Jets' unbelievable interception drought, but even that couldn't save an afternoon filled with mistakes, penalties and an offense that never established any rhythm.

So where did the team we watched during the first three weeks go?

On this episode of Battered Jets Fans, we're breaking down the disastrous loss in Chicago, what went wrong with Geno Smith and the offense, another troubling Aaron Glenn performance, the complete collapse of the run defense, the ridiculous penalties that erased THREE additional interceptions, and whether the optimism surrounding the 2026 Jets has officially disappeared.

    The Jets are 1–3.

And for the first time this season, they actually looked like it.

  • This Doesn't Feel Like The Same Old Jets… But They’re Still 1–2 | Jets vs. Lions Reaction
    Sep 28 2026

The New York Jets showed a ton of fight in Detroit… but moral victories don’t count in the standings.

After falling behind 24–10, Geno Smith and the Jets stormed all the way back to tie the game at 24. Garrett Wilson delivered a huge fourth-down touchdown, Kenyon Sadiq had a breakout performance, and for a moment it looked like the Jets might pull off an incredible comeback.

    Then it slipped away.

Detroit answered immediately, Jahmyr Gibbs scored his third touchdown of the game, and the Jets’ final drive ended with Geno Smith being strip-sacked as New York fell 31–24 and dropped to 1–2.

So how should Jets fans feel?

This team has now lost two straight games, Aaron Glenn continues to have decisions and mistakes worth questioning, and nobody wants to celebrate losses. But something about these Jets feels different. They fight. They respond. They look competitive against good football teams.

Are the Jets actually building something—or are we falling for another version of the same old story?

We break down the loss, Geno’s performance, Garrett Wilson, Kenyon Sadiq’s breakout game, the defense’s late collapse, Aaron Glenn’s coaching and where the Jets go from here.

  • SHOULD BE 2-0… Can They Go 2-1?| Jets vs. Lions Week 3 Preview
    Sep 25 2026

The New York Jets should be 2-0.

After letting a 17-7 fourth-quarter lead slip away against Green Bay, the Jets are 1-1 and heading to Detroit for a huge Week 3 matchup against the Lions.

Now we find out how this team responds.

Aaron Glenn returns to Detroit to face Dan Campbell and his former team, the Jets’ defense gets its biggest test yet against Jared Goff, Jahmyr Gibbs and Amon-Ra St. Brown, and Geno Smith has an opportunity to attack a Lions defense that has struggled through the first two weeks.

Can Garrett Wilson and the Jets passing game take advantage of Detroit’s depleted secondary? Can David Bailey and the defense slow down one of the NFL’s most dangerous offenses? And most importantly… can the Jets finish the game this time?

We break down the biggest matchups, keys to victory and give our predictions for Jets vs. Lions on Battered Jets Fans.

    The Jets SHOULD be 2-0.

    Can they leave Detroit 2-1?

  • Is This Loss On Aaron Glenn? Jets Blow 17-7 Lead vs Packers
    Sep 21 2026

The New York Jets were on the verge of starting 2–0.

They led the Green Bay Packers 17–7 in the fourth quarter at MetLife Stadium and appeared to be heading toward the type of win that could have completely changed the conversation surrounding this team.

Instead, the Jets let it slip away.

Green Bay scored the final 13 points and defeated New York 20–17 in overtime, dropping the Jets to 1–1.

And this one hurts because the Jets had opportunities to finish it.

We'll break down the defensive lapses that allowed Jordan Love and the Packers back into the game, the 63-yard Skyy Moore punt return that helped Green Bay tie it, the Jets' inability to establish the running game, the failed fourth-and-1 late in regulation, and an overtime possession that ended after Geno Smith was sacked on consecutive plays.

But the biggest question coming out of this game is about Aaron Glenn.

Should the Jets have gone for it on fourth-and-1 near midfield?

Why didn't Glenn use a timeout after New York stopped Green Bay with just over a minute remaining in regulation and potentially give his offense another opportunity to win?

And after winning the overtime coin toss, was taking the football the right decision?

Glenn said afterward that he didn't consider using the timeout in that late-regulation situation and wanted to be aggressive on fourth down because he trusted his running game. Those decisions are going to be heavily debated after a game the Jets appeared to have under control.

Geno Smith finished 27-of-41 for 247 yards and a touchdown, but even he acknowledged afterward that the Jets had opportunities to close the game and failed to capitalize.

So was this simply a young team learning how to finish games?

Or did Aaron Glenn and the coaching staff cost the Jets a game they should have won?

We'll break down everything that went wrong, what deserves to be blamed on Glenn versus the players, and whether this loss changes how we feel about the Jets after two weeks.

Because instead of celebrating 2–0, Battered Jets Fans are back doing what we know best…

wondering how the Jets managed to lose THAT game.

  • CAN THE JETS REALLY START 2-0?! Jets vs. Packers Week 2 Preview
    Sep 17 2026

The New York Jets are 1–0…but now comes the real test. ✈️

After opening the 2026 season with an encouraging 23–10 victory over the Tennessee Titans, Aaron Glenn and the Jets return home to face Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers.

So we're asking the question Jets fans probably weren't expecting to ask this early:

CAN THE JETS REALLY START 2–0?!

The Tennessee win showed us a balanced offense, a strong running game, an offensive line that controlled the game and a defense that kept the Titans uncomfortable. But beating Green Bay would mean something different. Even after dropping their opener, the Packers remain the kind of opponent that can test whether what we saw from New York in Week 1 was legitimate.

We'll break down Geno Smith and the Jets offense, Breece Hall and the running game, David Bailey and the pass rush, Aaron Glenn's defensive game plan for Jordan Love, and the biggest matchups that could decide the game.

We'll also discuss the injuries New York has to overcome. Minkah Fitzpatrick and Omar Cooper Jr. did not practice Wednesday and are considered week-to-week, while Joseph Ossai is getting closer to returning. Andre Cisco and Dane Belton are expected to handle the safety responsibilities if Fitzpatrick can't play.

Green Bay has issues of its own. The Packers opened with a 39–22 loss to Minnesota, while Micah Parsons remains unavailable and Josh Jacobs cannot currently practice or play.

Tennessee gave Jets fans a reason to feel good.

Green Bay could give us a reason to actually believe.

Can the Jets protect home field and move to 2–0?

    Sep 14 2026

The New York Jets are 1-0!

The Jets opened the 2026 season with a convincing win over the Tennessee Titans, and while nobody is planning the Super Bowl parade after Week 1, there was a lot to like about the way Aaron Glenn’s team played.

On this episode of Battered Jets Fans, we break down the Jets’ season-opening victory and discuss why this performance should give Jets fans some legitimate optimism about what this team could become.

We’ll talk about Geno Smith’s return as QB1, Breece Hall and the running game, the offensive balance under Frank Reich, Garrett Wilson and the passing attack, Aaron Glenn’s defense, the young players making an impact and the biggest winners and losers from Week 1.

Was Tennessee a weak opponent? Absolutely — and we’ll keep the victory in perspective. But after everything Jets fans endured last season, seeing New York play balanced, disciplined and winning football is an encouraging first step.

    The biggest question now:

Was this simply a good performance against a bad team… or did we just get our first glimpse of a much better Jets team in 2026?
