We talk about them all the time, so it only seemed right that they should be our first guests—and finally get the chance to tell us everything we’ve said about them is wrong. They join us at the trailer to talk about rodeo from their point of view—the pressure, friendships, horses, parents, and what life on the road is really like when you’re 14 years old. It’s fun, honest, and maybe a little dangerous to hand our own children microphones. Pull up a chair and meet the kids who made us rodeo moms in the first place!

Apparently, we have a type—and this episode proves it.

We’re talking all things horsepower: what catches our attention, what we look for in a rodeo horse, the qualities we love, and the quirks we’re willing to overlook. From breeding and build to brains, ability, and personality, we’re breaking down what makes us say, “Yep, that’s our kind of horse.”

The horses need watered, the kids need fed, somebody needs sleep, and Mom is probably running on caffeine and whatever was left in the snack bag.

In this episode, we’re talking about what it takes to keep both horses and kids healthy when rodeo life means long weekends on the road, hours in the practice pen, late nights, early mornings, and a schedule that doesn't always leave a whole lot of room for rest.

We’re sharing what works for our families when it comes to nutrition, hydration, rest, recovery, and keeping everyone feeling their best through a busy rodeo and practice schedule. We also talk about knowing when it’s time to push through, when it’s time to slow down, and why taking care of the athlete matters—whether they have two legs or four.

Are we doing everything perfectly? Absolutely not.

But everybody is fed, watered, mostly sound, and headed to the next one—so we’re calling that a win.

Pull up a chair and join us back at the trailer.
