Hey — welcome to the yesyesyes bonus episode. It’s Stu and Oli with our mate Jack Post in the room (yep, actually in person), and we’re keeping things short, sharp and messy — the way we like it.
This episode is built around one simple theme: saying no. Jack’s big no? The flood of sports-betting ads on TV and how normalised gambling has become for kids who love footy. We riff on how those ads sneak into broadcasts, how the parties and networks play tug-of-war, and even admit to our own sketchy moments (yes, some of us have had ads — guilty as charged).
We also get surprisingly real with a listener letter from Mick — a heavy, honest note about loss, loneliness and how this silly podcast keeps him tethered. It was one of those moments that reminded us why we bother making noise in the first place.
