 For 87+ years, Bengalis all over India tune into Mahisasur Mardini - a radio program in the voice of the legendary, Birendra Krishna Bhadra and listen to Mahalaya – a chant sung in praise of the Goddess during Durga Puja. This year, BIG FM ushers in a new tradition by recreating this classic in the voice of Swagato Laxmi, a Bengali musician and exponent of Rabindra Sangeet in an attempt to bring forward a change in the society and showcase equality and inclusiveness.
