Why did Jesus choose this particular place to ask one of the most important questions in the Gospel: “Who do you say that I am?” In this reflection, Fr. Rob explores the significance of the setting at Caesarea Philippi, a place marked by pagan worship and the source of the Jordan River's life-giving waters. There, Peter boldly professes Jesus as the Son of the living God, revealing a faith that was itself a gift from God. Fr. Rob invites us to consider how we would answer that same question today and reflects on what our response reveals about our relationship with Christ. Through faith, we come to recognize Jesus as the one who loves us completely, heals our brokenness, never abandons us, and gives us life. No matter where we go or what we face, Christ remains our sustaining presence.
