This is the first episode in the series "Artist Profile" where I talk about the life of noteworthy Arabic Calligraphers who have contributed immensely to this beautiful field of Arabic Calligraphy! Hope you find this new series helpful and insightful. Kindly note, these are facts which can be confirmed, if you find any corrections, kindly let me know.
Vocal Corrections: At 59 secs, the script is not Ruqa, it is Ri’qa and at 4 mins and 53 secs: He died in 940 and not 1940.
Yaqut Al Musta'simi was not a direct student of Ibn Muqla, but was a student of a calligrapher from the direct line of calligrapher Ibn al Bawwab.
