This week on All In Triathlon, we sit down with one of the toughest and most honest voices in the sport — Non Stanford.

Non shares her journey to the very top of triathlon, going from a part-time athlete to U23 World Champion in 2012, before becoming Senior World Champion just 12 months later in 2013. She remains the first and only female athlete to make that jump from U23 world champion to senior world champion within a single year.

But with rapid success came a heavy cost.

We talk through the years of injuries, missed races and lost seasons, and how it all built toward the emotional low point of finishing 4th at the Rio Olympic Games — a result that left Non in a very dark place mentally.

In this episode, Non opens up about how deep those struggles went, the pressure of elite sport, and how she slowly fought her way back — rebuilding herself both as an athlete and as a person — to once again compete among the best in the world.

A powerful and honest conversation about the real cost of elite sport, the ultimate highs, and the deepest of lows.

  • Our best pod yet!
    Jan 15 2026

This week on All In Triathlon, we discuss Jelle levelling up the production on last weeks pod discovering a new filter that somehow makes us look 10 years younger, and give a shoutout to the YouTube channel where you can now watch the pod in all its glory. Although a few people pointed out AIT HQ still looks suspiciously like Aaron’s living room… we’re calling it “minimalist studio vibes.”

On the triathlon side, we dive into the hot topic of the 20m draft rule and what it really means for racing, and debate who would win in an “equal proportioned” triathlon of 10/90/34.

We finish with our Strava Picks of the Week. Jelle backs Brice Kadlek from last week, while Aaron goes with Parker Kerth, who casually logged 40 hours of training when only prescribed 32, with the caption:
“Felt too good for a Monday so did the main set twice.”

And don’t forget, you can support the pod and your training by using code ALLINTRIATHLON at checkout for 15% off your first order with Precision Hydration & Fuel:

  • Alex Yee: The World’s Best Endurance Athlete?
    Dec 9 2025

Today on the All In Triathlon Podcast:
Jelle returns from Bahrain after teaming up for the Ironman 70.3 Bahrain relay. We also preview the Qatar T100 Grand Final — big field, big stakes, and probably big chaos.

Meanwhile, Aaron heads to Wollongong and almost ruins Christmas by accidentally exposing Santa to his mate’s daughter. Elite athlete… amateur festive security.

Then we dive into Alex Yee’s outrageous 2:06:36 Valencia Marathon. Truly disgusting behaviour. So we’re left asking:

Is Alex Yee actually the best endurance athlete on the planet right now?

  • World Champs recap with Lucy Charles-Barclay and Jelle Geens!!!
    Nov 11 2025

This week on All In Triathlon, we’re joined by Lucy Charles-Barclay, fresh off her incredible Ironman 70.3 World Championship victory — just four weeks after suffering heat exhaustion in Kona while leading the race. Lucy takes us inside her remarkable comeback: what went into her decision to race again so soon, how she executed a near-perfect swim, and the mental and physical effort it took to stay with Taylor Knibb on the bike — including hitting her best-ever 2-hour power. She also opens up about keeping her cool on the run when Taylor surged ahead, and what it took to finish the job and claim another world title.

Jelle also claims back-to-back World Championship titles. Jelle breaks down his rollercoaster race day — the crash, the mechanical, and the gritty determination it took to fix his bike, push through an insanely tough ride, and go head-to-head in an epic run battle with Kristian Blummenfelt.

From resilience and redemption to raw race-day insight, this episode is packed with world-class performances, behind-the-scenes stories, and lessons in mental toughness.
