The Automotive Legend Known as "Mr. GT-R"Few engineers capture the heart of car culture quite like Hiroshi Tamura.

Known as the "Godfather of the GT-R," Tamura dedicated nearly four decades to Nissan Motor Co., rising to become the Chief Product Specialist for the iconic GT-R and Nismo programs.

He fell in love with the original Skyline GT-R as a teenager in 1970s Japan and joined Nissan in 1984.

I met Bear Woolgar at Mad Mike's Summer Bash in 2025. He was in New Zealand for the weekend, from the UK. My kind of guy.
