Commercial real estate is entering a period where AI and technology are going to materially change how people work, make decisions, and operate portfolios, but I think a lot of the conversation is still either too theoretical or too focused on the technology itself.

I’d like to have a practical discussion about what is actually changing inside CRE, where AI is useful today, where the hype gets ahead of reality, and how owners, operators, developers, retailers, and asset managers should be thinking about the next several years. There is a much bigger conversation here than any one product or platform.

I’ve spent 15+ years at the intersection of commercial real estate and technology. I’ve built and scaled multiple multi-million-dollar PropTech companies, had three successful startup exits, and I’m now in my fourth founder/co-founder seat.

What makes my perspective a little different is that I’m not coming at CRE as a software outsider. I’ve also been a commercial real estate owner, investor, developer, and operator. I’ve sat on both sides of the table, building technology for the industry while also living the operational problems that technology is supposed to solve.
