At the Beautiful Gate, a man who has spent years watching others pass by reaches out for a few coins. Peter has no silver or gold—but in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, he offers something money could never buy. The man rises, walks, and enters the temple praising God.
Yet Peter refuses the glory. He turns every astonished eye toward the risen Jesus. Soon, Peter and John stand before rulers who demand their silence, while the healed man stands beside them as living testimony. When the believers gather again, they do not pray for safety or revenge. They pray for courage—and the room is shaken.
Gather close to the hearth for a story of an overlooked man finally seen, a miracle belonging to Jesus alone, and ordinary witnesses made bold by the Holy Spirit.
Afterward, remain by the fire with three gentle questions:
Who might Father God be inviting us to truly see?
When something good happens through us, how can we point the glory back to Jesus?
What might change if we prayed for courage instead of comfort?
Based on Acts 3:1–4:31.
