Today’s reading takes us to Acts 2:22–41, where Peter makes one thing unmistakably clear: this Jesus is the center of the message. He was crucified, but the greatest injustice in human history became the means of the greatest redemption in human history. Death could not hold Him, the resurrection proved Him victorious, and now the risen Christ is seated on the throne, pouring out the promised Spirit.
Acts 2 reminds us that the gospel demands a response. The Word cuts to the heart, the Spirit brings conviction, and Peter’s answer is clear: repent and identify yourself with Jesus. Then the harvest comes—3,000 souls are added to the church. So today, read Acts 2:22–41 and remember: the church does not need a more impressive message. Jesus is enough. The Word is enough. The Spirit is enough. Our responsibility is to proclaim the truth clearly and trust the Spirit to do what only He can do.
