    In this episode, I'm walking you through one of the most overlooked foundations of digestion: low stomach acid (also called hypochlorhydria). I see this in 9 out of 10 of the women I work with, and it's why so many "gut healing" protocols ultimately fail.

    THE 60-SECOND AT-HOME STOMACH ACID TEST

    Step 1: First thing in the morning, before eating or drinking anything, mix ¼ teaspoon of baking soda into 4-6 ounces of cold water.

    Step 2: Drink the mixture slowing (don't gulp) on an empty stomach.

    Step 3: Start a 3-minute timer immediately.

    Step 4: Note when (or if) you burp.

    WHAT YOUR RESULTS MEAN

    → Burped within 2-3 minutes = stomach acid is likely adequate

    → Burped after 3 minutes (or didn't burp at all) = likely low stomach acid
