Welcome to the ABERDEEN VINYL RECORDS PODCAST! This is our monthly Podcast, which we release on the last Friday of every month. Feel free to listen to the AVR Podcast on iTunes, Spotify, Acast, Amazon Music or any of the usual platforms. Our Podcasts are for everyone who shares our passion for music in general and vinyl records in particular. Each monthly Podcast has a guest from the music or entertainment business who have stories to tell about their love of music and records. Most importantly, none of us take ourselves too seriously. The plan is to have a bit of a laugh and to chat about music and records. We do a wee fortnightly interim Podcast recorded in the shop while we’re open, keeping it real!

    This episode sees us chatting with Sheffield born punk, Mat Sargent. Mat played with seminal the UK punk bands Sham 69 and Chelsea, as well as starting the

    Sex, Drugs and HIV project in 1995 to raise awareness and funding for charity organisations that help those diagnosed with HIV and sexual assault survivors. The project grew to include over 200 guest musicians and has resulted in an incredible double album with a dedicated documentary film for each track.
