Before there is guidance, there is observation.

ALL THINGS DVN is the Colloquium of the Atelier, where observations become conversation and conversation becomes a deeper study of the human experience. Here, psychology, neuroawareness, philosophy, spirituality, somatic intelligence, symbolism, and lived experience are examined together, not as separate disciplines, but as different ways of seeing the same whole.

Guided by Ericka Dontello, founder of DVN THEREPE™, medical intuitive, neuro somatic practitioner, and soul alchemist, each episode explores the architecture beneath what can already be seen. Some conversations begin with the body. Others begin with memory, belief, culture, grief, language, relationships, or faith. Some begin with a single observation that slowly unfolds into something much larger. Regardless of where the conversation begins, every episode asks the same question:

What exists beneath what is already visible?

This is not a podcast built around quick answers or simple conclusions. It is an ongoing study of the visible and invisible forces that shape the human experience, inviting thoughtful inquiry into the patterns beneath identity, behavior, suffering, meaning, and the ways we move through the world. Through reflections, essays, interviews, and conversations, the Colloquium examines what is often overlooked, revealing that what appears on the surface is rarely the whole story.

If the Atelier is where the work is created, the Colloquium is where the work is examined together.

Thank you for taking a seat at the table.

  • THE LAST ARGUMENT YOU NEVER HAVE
    Sep 1 2026

What happens when you stop trying to make people understand what they already had enough information to understand?

We are taught that relationships are voluntary until the relationship is family. Then history becomes obligation, blood becomes continued access, and “that's just how they are” becomes an expectation that everyone else should keep adjusting around behavior that one person has never been required to change.

In this episode of All Things DVN, I’m talking about no contact, family estrangement, the hidden mechanics of “keeping the peace,” and the exhausting need to prove that what happened to you was serious enough to justify leaving. I also examine something I've had to confront in my own life: the difference between walking away and continuing to prosecute the case from a distance.

And then there is karma. What does it actually mean to believe that consequences don't require your participation? Because if you're still waiting to see someone get what they deserve, you may have stopped speaking to them without actually becoming finished with them.

Sometimes there is no final confrontation, no admission, no family consensus, and no satisfying verdict. Sometimes the last argument is the one you realize you no longer need to have.

  • TO BE OR NOT TO BE
    Aug 13 2026

You are functioning. You answer the emails, you cook the dinner, you check the homework, you keep your tone measured and your image intact, and then you lie in bed at night wondering who you are inside any of it. Nothing is wrong, and something is missing, and that combination is more disorienting than an actual crisis would be.

In this episode I give that experience a name, because carrying it without one turns it into a personal failure instead of a process you can locate yourself inside. I call it core abandonment, and it is not something someone did to you. It is the gradual leaving of yourself, need by need, in order to keep everything around you intact, and it happens so functionally that most people do not notice until they are already in too deep.

We walk the three stages of how this moves through a person. The mask, which is not a flaw and is one of the most intelligent things your system has ever built for you. Erosion, where sustained adaptation begins taking a real biological toll, your window of tolerance narrows, and your ability to feel yourself from the inside starts to dull until numbness arrives before pain does. And the threshold, my favorite of the three, which is the moment your body finally surfaces what your mind has been managing, and which is not a breakdown but the most intelligent signal your psyche can produce.

I bring in Winnicott's false self, allostatic load, interoception, and what happens to a prefrontal cortex that has been regulating your presentation for years without relief, and then I bring it back into the body with sixty seconds of return before we close. I also tell you my own to be's, including the one I did not want to say out loud, because this framework did not come out of a textbook. It came out of a life. Mine, and probably yours.

The question is not about existence. It is about which version of yourself you are willing to let live.

  • WHAT MADE YOU SO SURE?
    Aug 10 2026

We say "I just knew" as though it settles the matter, and nobody ever asks the follow up question, so this episode asks it. What happened inside you between the moment you experienced something and the moment you decided what it meant, and why has that translation become so difficult to examine?

We go into our Soulwells and look at how a sensation becomes a story, how a story becomes conviction, and how conviction becomes an identity that cannot be questioned without feeling like exposure. We examine why speed gets mistaken for accuracy, why the body reports on itself rather than on the person across from you, why recognition is not the same as knowing, and why wanting something distorts perception just as effectively as fear does and far more discreetly.

This is not an episode about trusting your intuition, and it is not an episode about doubting it. It is about what becomes available when you are willing to reopen the one conclusion you have been unwilling to touch.
