AI Didn’t Kill Creativity. It Exposed It. | Creativity, AI & Getting Seen
AI is changing the way we create—but having the tool doesn’t make you creative.
I sit down with my boy Nes of Retro Kings to talk about what AI means for real creatives, how he’s using it to push his sneaker concepts further, and why the vision still has to come from YOU.
Nes has spent decades creating. Now he’s using AI to bring ideas to life faster while challenging himself to get the attention of one of the biggest brands in the world: Nike.
But this conversation becomes bigger than sneakers.
At one point, somebody challenged Nes with a simple question: Does he really think Nike is just going to call?
That made him ask himself:
“How are they gonna find me?”
So instead of waiting, he started creating. Posting. Building a portfolio. Showing what he can do.
We talk about why AI is a tool—not a replacement for creativity, why everybody can have the same tools but not the same “sauce,” and what happens when you stop waiting for somebody to pick you.
Because the opportunity may not come knocking.
Sometimes you have to build your own damn door.
Stop waiting to be picked. Pick yourself.
No Exit. Just FWRD.
