A proposito di questo titolo
An A-Z Guide to the NHS - healthcare and medicine can be confusing and frightening at times. Latin derived names abound for diagnoses, symptoms and treatments.
This is a pilot episode for a possible series looking at an A-Z guide to the NHS - hopefully taking what we see as some of the commonest terms used in the healthcare setting and laying them out for easy consumption by patients, addressing the science with clinical anecdotes along the way.
Here we’re joined by Dr Andy Stein - a medicine and renal consultant to look over four important terms as we see them - atrial fibrillation, arterial blood gas tests, adverse drug reactions, and autoimmune diseases
These are going to be an overview so you’ll hopefully have a better understanding of terminology that might pop up in your own health care.
BUT this is going to be collaborative - please drop us things you’d like to see discussed in future. I know people have asked for information on rheumatoid arthritis and vitamin B12, this may be a forum that allows that to work.
Take care, please give us a big YES in the comments if you’d like this series to continue, and thanks for watching #Medicine #DrGill #A-ZofNHS
