Celebrate Juneteenth with international photojournalist andmotivational speaker Monica Morgan as she returns to the podcast for an inspiring conversation about legacy, storytelling, and the power of seeing history through the lens. From photographing President Barack Obama, NelsonMandela, Muhammad Ali, Aretha Franklin, Rosa Parks, and countless other icons, Monica has spent decades preserving moments that matter. Today, she continues that mission as a mentor and speaker, sharing her stories with students andcommunities across the metropolitan area to inspire the next generation to dream boldly, show up confidently, and recognize the greatness within themselves.
Plus, in honor of Juneteenth, we share excerpts of remarksfrom Former President & First Lady Barack and Michelle Obama during the Grand Opening of the Obama Presidential Center from June 18th. This beautiful edifice officially opens to the public today on Juneteenth. We share those incredible remarks to commemorate and celebrate the tremendous impact they have both made on the lives of not just people of this country but even around the world.
Happy Juneteenth!
