If you run a service-based business, your success rests on three pillars: people, time, and consistency. Take one away, and the whole business wobbles. Marketing isn't something you "finish" — it's something you grow into.
Think of your sales and marketing like human development. In year one, you're learning to walk. You test different lead generation strategies, fall down a lot, and ride a serious rollercoaster. That's normal. The goal isn't perfection — it's discovery. Test 4–7 lead generation methods and find one or two that consistently bring in quality leads.
In year two, you're a teenager. You've got a couple of things working, your message is clearer, and the ups and downs aren't as extreme. You're refining your niche, optimizing what works, and starting to think about hiring support. You're no longer guessing — you're measuring and improving.
The beauty of business is that you get to earn while you learn. Marketing mastery takes time, and the people who win are the ones who stay in the game long enough to let their systems mature.
Bottom line: Be patient with your marketing. Growth is developmental — and every stage is necessary. ✨
