    San Francisco defensive lineman and third-year pro Keion White was the victim of a shooting downtown following an incident at a nightclub. According to the team, he had successful ankle surgery this week after not sustaining any career-threatening injuries and will continue to rehab through the offseason. On this episode of '49ers Talk,' Matt Maiocco details the fallout from White's harrowing experience, which brought back memories from Ricky Pearsall's shooting in SF in the not-so-distant past. Matt then switches gears and dives into the 'genius' of head coach Kyle Shanahan. Former players Logan Ryan and Chad Brown each detail their short but productive times learning under Shanahan and how he's evolved as a play-caller and coach over the years.

Lurie reveals a clandestine meeting of 49ers legends, who gathered to celebrate Roger Craig's impending election to the Pro Football Hall of Fame on 'Roger Craig Day' in the city. Hall of Fame running back and NFL legend Barry Sanders also stopped by the NBC Sports Bay Area set to congratulate Craig's Hall of Fame election. In addition, the voice of the 49ers, Greg Papa, shared his relief in seeing an iconic 49ers player receive Hall of Fame validation. Maiocco then sits down with two football heavyweights in Senior NFL Films producer Greg Cosell and NBC Sports' "Pro Football Talk" host Mike Florio to break down San Francisco's remarkable season and identify keys to the 49ers' success going forward.
