  • John and Dee. Peace After Years Of Chains

Chains do not always look like chains, sometimes they look like habits you cannot quit, anger you cannot control, or shame you cannot outrun. John joins us with a raw Christian testimony that starts in Luke 8 with Legion and lands in real life: years of drugs, trouble, jail, and the feeling of being tormented from the inside. Then he tells the turning point, the moment he finally chose Jesus and stopped looking back.

We talk about what happens after salvation too, because freedom is more than one emotional night. You will hear honest stories about spiritual growth in everyday places, the pressure of gossip, the fight to bite your tongue, and the humility it takes to apologize when you are wrong. We also dig into spiritual warfare, generational patterns, and why believers can still hear condemning voices even when their heart has changed.

Throughout it all, we keep coming back to practical faith: prayer that is a real relationship, the Word of God as a weapon, fasting, patience with God’s timing, and the confidence that God’s love is unconditional. If you feel disqualified by your past, this conversation is for you.

  • What If God’s Patience Feels Like Delay
    Oct 7 2026

Seven days. That’s all God said was left before the rain started, and Genesis 7:4 shows it so plainly that it’s almost unsettling. We slow down and look at the Noah story with fresh eyes, because the ark wasn’t just a dramatic rescue scene, it was a visible invitation with an open door, and the tragedy is that nobody moved until it was too late.

We connect that overlooked detail to Jesus’ warning in Matthew 24:37, “as the days of Noah were,” and we ask what it means for our lives right now. We’re not setting dates and we’re not pretending to know the hour, because Scripture is clear that no one knows the day or time. But we are taking seriously the spiritual readiness Jesus calls for, especially when the world feels loud, distracted, and confident that tomorrow is guaranteed.

We also talk about why God’s “delay” is not indifference. The patience of God is mercy, another day for repentance, another chance to respond to the gospel. Then we bring it home with the ark’s one door and Jesus’ words in John 10:9: “I am the door.” Knowing about Jesus is not the same as walking through that door, and being near the truth is not the same as being surrendered to it.

If this message hits you, share it with someone you love, subscribe so you don’t miss what’s next, and leave a review to help more people find Bible Talk. What would you change if you truly believed you were living in your seven days?

  • Breaking Spiritual Rebellion
    Sep 27 2026

    Send us Fan Mail

Division rarely announces itself. It starts like a wedge, small enough to ignore, then it splits a marriage, a family, a church, and eventually your peace. JD gets personal and direct about why “a house divided cannot stand,” and why unity in the Body of Christ is not optional when we’re trying to live faithful Christian lives in noisy, chaotic times.

We connect the dots between God’s order for the home, repentance that starts close to us, and the way modern culture normalizes spiritual rebellion. JD walks through why ignoring God’s framework doesn’t create freedom, it creates dysfunction and distance from the presence of God. Along the way, we talk about the pressure points that cause separation, the bitterness that makes it hard to rebuild trust, and the practical reality that what we allow to “creep in” over time can reshape an entire household.

Then we go even deeper into spiritual warfare. JD explains why Scripture compares rebellion to witchcraft, how control works through manipulation, intimidation, and domination, and why that spirit always steals peace. The challenge is simple and uncomfortable: stop blaming everything “out there” and start with the mirror. If you’re looking for a Christian podcast on spiritual growth, unity in the church, biblical truth, and returning to God’s peace, you’ll find it here, plus an invitation to call on Jesus Christ and begin again.

Subscribe, share this with someone who needs peace at home, and leave a review so more listeners can find the show. What’s one area where you want to realign with God’s order today?
