Please Please Me is the second single in the UK, the song was included in the Beatles debut album Please Please Me released on March 22, 1963. John Lennon wrote the song when he lived in Mendips, in his bedroom at Aunt Mimi's house. At the end of the final recording, George Martin said: Please Please Me was sure to be a hit. The Beatles performed the song on Saturday 19 January 1963 on the Saturday night television show Thank Your Lucky Stars, the Beatles' first UK television appearance. Tours begin, visibility in BBC programs, the press and sales have brought the Beatles to the top of the national charts.
